When the Doctor looks in your pets ears one of the things he is looking for is ear mites. While it’s irritating to your furry friend, they’re kinda fun to look at with the microscope!

Here's a typical day in the life of our technicians. How many faces do you recognize?

Stella came in to our hospital unable to walk. This video was taken 12 hours after we removed a tick that was causing tick paraylasis. (The original video where she is having trouble walking can be found on our FB page.)

When Stella came in to our hospital, she was unable to walk. Based on her clinical signs, Dr. Cook suspected a condition called tick paralysis. We found a tick by her ear and removed it. Stella is the third tick paralysis case we have seen this spring. Check our FB page to see the video of Stella 12 hours after the tick was removed. Using a monthly flea/tick preventative can prevent this condition along with many other diseases related to fleas and ticks. Please call our office 208-784-1381 if you have questions.
