This little crazy blessing turned 1 yesterday! Happy birthday little miss OBX KayDeeH! She has brought so much joy and CRAZY to our lives! She absolutely adores PJ and loves any and all attention! We love her so and we are so glad that she made the trip from Georgia to the OBX!

Veterinary Assistants-->Heather and Janessa

Both of these awesome young ladies work with us part time.

Heather is currently enrolled in veterinary technician school. When not working or studying, Heather enjoys spending time with and showing her horse, Petie.

Janessa is the founder of Southern Hope Animal Rescue & Education and keeps very busy running and caring for all of the animals at SHARE. At FFVH, we see many of the animals that were rescued and then adopted into his/her forever homes thanks to Janessa's passion for animal welfare.

Team Spotlight-Julia

Julia has been with FFVH before there was a VH, back when we were strictly mobile. Her passion for veterinary medicine shines through on every patient she helps. Julia not only knows the interworkings of the entire hospital but she is also our mobile scheduler and primary "right hand man" on the truck! Outside of work, Julia is enrolled in veterinary technician school and has a farm with 2 horses, a donkey, a kitten, and the famous hospital mascot Rhett! And oh by the way-did we mention she is getting married next weekend??!! Julia is a rock star and we are so lucky to have her on our team!

Eden has been with us since day 1! She helped us transition from FFMVS --> FFVH&MS and has ran with any task thrown her way! Eden is kind, compassionate, empathetic, and can talk to anyone and make them feel warm and welcomed. Eden is super talented on the front lines but also has mad skills behind the scenes too. When Eden is not working, she is tending to her almost 2yo daughter Linlee who also keeps her on her toes!

Carly joined our team last year and has ran with any task thrown her way! Many of you not only know her from the veterinary nursing side, but Carly is also are surgical coordinator. Her focus, attention to detail, and patient (and client) care are absolutely amazing! Outside of work, Carly is finishing up her Veterinary Technician degree to add to her Bachelor's degree, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and two pups! Thank you Carly for all you do and always doing it with kindness, calmness, and a big smile!

We have some exciting news from the Boykin Spaniel Society, we received our Silver Level Breeder certification. This program ensures that breeders are being responsible and doing the right thing when breeding Boykin’s. We put a lot of work into ensuring our pups are healthy and well taken care of. We are proud to be a part of the preferred breeders list for the Boykin Spaniel Society.

We owe a huge shout out to our neighbors Kim Cowen and her daughter Mia. They came over a lot to socialize the pups and give them love. They even assisted with our beach pictures that are coming soon. They are the best people who really care about all animals and we love having them as neighbors. Thank you all for being awesome!

Murphy (aka Duckie) went home to Wilmington, NC today! We are so excited for him and his new family. Today was Dave’s birthday and it’s not a coincidence that it was pick up day for Murphy…🥰 Happy Birthday Dave and happy homecoming Murphy!

We sent two pups home yesterday. It was tough to let them go but so happy to see the excitement in the families! Here is Willow Maye and Oakley with their new families. Oh, and Sweet T saying goodbye…a tear or two may have fallen yesterday. 🥲

These pups are always waiting for us to come down stairs. When they hear you they pile out of the dog house sometimes 2 or 3 at a time! We can’t wait to see how excited they are to meet their new families.

Puppy Update! All the pups are getting huge. Running around playing in the yard and learning to fetch sticks…. Well maybe not bring them back but they are learning to go get them and carry them around. Friday is the beginning of them all going home. We prepared their packets tonight and are torn between the happiness for them and their new families and the sadness of having to go down stairs and not have 5 cute faces looking up at us. Be on the lookout this week we have some exciting pictures to share…think beach trip and surfboards 😮

Week 6 weigh in went well last Friday. Flip (aka Runner) is well ahead on bring the biggest pup home. However, Oakley (aka Birdie) has moved up from being the smallest. Little Lady Bug has taken over as the smallest pup of only by a couple ounces.

These most perfect little puppies will be meeting their furever families soon! They will be 8 weeks on September 22. Mama T already has tears in her eyes just thinking about coming down the stairs and not seeing these faces looking up. We are grateful that they each have an amazing family waiting for them who are excited to welcome them into their families!
