We are working on trying to get a real, functional website up and running. We’d love to have real pictures of our clients and their pets up on it instead of stock photos from the internet.

If you’re willing to share, please send us any and all pictures of your families for us to put up. Action shots, lazy shots, cuddling, any special moments you’ve captured so we can let everyone know how amazing this group of people is.

Thank you all for being the best clients a veterinary team could ask for.

Good evening everyone. We have a little announcement to make. We’re getting another doctor joining us at Town & Country.

Starting Monday June 17th Dr. Dorr will be seeing patients. She joins Dr. Corey and Dr. Todeasa seeing exotic patients - reptiles, birds, and small mammals.

Please make her feel at home while she’s here. Thank you all for your continued loyalty with Town & Country as we continue trying to serve you all.

Stay tuned for other announcements of how we plan to serve you better.

Here’s a little something about Dr. Dorr.

“Dr. Mackenzie Dorr is a recent graduate from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. She is originally from Miami, FL and pursued her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida where she received a B.S. in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation. Her professional interests include exotic/wildlife medicine, dermatology, ophthalmology, and internal medicine.

On her time off, she enjoys hiking, bird-watching, cooking, reading and doing yoga. She also loves spending time with her two naughty cats and one sweet American Pitbull Terrier. Dr. Dorr made her way to Killeen with her partner, who is also a veterinarian and will be serving as a Captain at Fort Cavazos. She is incredibly excited to meet and care for your furry, feathered, and scaly friends!”

Good Morning to all of our new clients and all of our clients that have been with us since the beginning.

As we approach the new year we are looking for your thoughts on how we can better serve you.

This has been a hard and frustrating few years for many of us. We are still living with complications from pandemic and none of us could have predicted the fallout in the pet industry.

We do our best everyday to be able to serve more and more of the people in the area. Our population is going up and we are constantly hearing about veterinarians that have left the area or clinics that are closing.

What we want to know from all of you out there are anything that you would like to see from us so we can better serve you. Are there services we currently don’t provide that you would like to see from us?

I think most of you will respond with, more appointment slots. We are working on this as best as we can but to be transparent we are one of the clinics with the most number of doctors in the area and try and see as many of you as we can without keeping our staff extremely late. We hear you out there that you need help and we want to help as many people and pets as we can every single day.

Please be thoughtful with your responses as we are going to take them to heart. And if you have a chance to say something nice to one of your veterinary team please do. It absolutely makes their day and helps them to hold their heads high when they’ve had a tough day with sad cases.

Stay safe out there everyone. Looking forward to seeing you all in time.

We are currently experiencing manufacturing/backorder issues with our K9 bivalent influenza vaccine (H3N8/H3N2)
There have been delays in and short stock of this vaccine for several months but up until last week we were able to still have some on hand.

We are told we should be receiving more at the end of the month, but that may change.
We will keep everyone updated as we receive product or if dates change.

If your pet has or you are planning an upcoming boarding reservation with us and the Flu vaccine needs to be updated for your pet it will in no way impact your boarding reservations at this time.

We are still requiring your pet be up to date on Rabies,DAPP and Bordetella (kennel cough)

Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.

08/04/2023

Good Afternoon to all of our amazing clients out there. Things continue to change at Town & Country Veterinary Medical Center. Thank you all for your continued support as we continue to go through these unprecedented times in veterinary medicine. We never thought we would be booked out over a month at a time to try and get your babies in to see us. As the demand for veterinary professionals goes up and the area continues to boom and grow. We hope we have a solution to try and see more of you with short term notice.

Starting Tuesday, September 19th there will be a new doctor starting at Town & Country to aid us in continuing to offer the best care possible to as many of your pets as possible.

Some of you may have met our new doctor when she was here shadowing with us a couple of weeks ago in July. She loved you all so much, she couldn't help but come aboard. So thank you to all of our clients for the love you show our staff.

Please give a very warm welcome, as you always do, to Dr. Sophia Todeasa.

She comes to us via military life. Her husband is one of the thousands of new soldiers we have in the area. It's just another reminder of how important all of our service members are. To all current and retired military we want to say thank you for your service. Hopefully we can serve you as well as you've served us.

Dr. Sophia is originally from Monroe, Connecticut. She received her Bachelor in Science degree from Marist College in New York, worked at UMass Medical School as a research technician in Massachusetts, and received her DVM degree from Auburn University in Alabama. She loved her time away from the cold temperatures of New England, and decided to stay in beautiful warm Georgia.

Her focus is small animal medicine and surgery, with a special love for cats. She also enjoys working with exotics - Dr. Corey is beyond thrilled to have some help with all of the special species that we see.

In her time outside the clinic, Dr. Sophia enjoys hiking, rock climbing, cooking and baking. At home she is required to give near constant attention to her two cats, Pompey and Samosa. Whenever possible she loves to visit her family in the northeast and in coastal South Carolina.

Since we are booked out approx 1 month already if you are needing an appointment towards the end of September you may book with Dr. Todeasa. She is taking appointments now and again her first day will be September 19th.

We will be closed today from 11:30AM - 1:00PM for staff training. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
