Dottie and Poppy are home safe and sound in Ohio and settling in for the night. Poppy's family sent us this video and it made me cry! Her new big brother is absolutely smitten and he was so surprised! I was already emotional today saying goodbye to the last of our "Birthday Pawrty" crew. It's always so bittersweet, but this right here is what it's all about. Instant best friends. ππ₯°
Ring around the Rosie! ππ₯΄ I thought the kids had been destroying the net. It looks like they may have been getting some help with that! π«
Goofy girls! π
π₯Άπ₯Άπ₯Ά It was COLD this morning! We snuggled by the fire and watched Hallmark Christmas movies. β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
**** Pinata is now reserved! ***
Dis boy!π₯Ή He is so mellow! He loves to be brushed and snuggled and loved on! He loves to give kisses and he LOVES the water. He would make a really good lazy lake dog for someone or even a good therapy pup! π§‘
Pinata is the biggest of the bunch. I expect he will mature to around 30-35lbs. He has a gorgeous wavy coat and a bit of an underbite. While this is definitely not a trait we breed for, it happens from time to time. It shouldn't ever cause him any issues and it's stinkin' adorable! He may still outgrow it yet, time will tell. He needs a family of his own and will be ready to cuddle next week!
Rosie Bulldozie girlπ€¦ββοΈ she is SO goofy! π
I had some really good help blowing leaves today. π€πͺπ
Fireworks sound effects. Unfazed. πͺππ€
Who needs a water-loving snuggle buddy to hang out on the boat with them next summer? π Pinata and Kazoo are your boys! Send us a message for details!
Repost from yesterday. It seems like every time I post a video the scammers get on it. Overnight, it was shared over 60 times from random foreign names with fake pages.π€¬You may have noticed I have deleted quite a few because of this, sorry friends. π«
Morning Surprise! I must have left the gate open. π
The "Birthday Pawrty" crew has moved downstairs to the toddler room! They've been in their new digs for a few days now and are adjusting really well. We have introduced open door crates and litter box training is in full swing. It's a chilly rainy day today, so we are snuggling inside with the heater listening to a our bedtime music cd. π§‘
Time to rinse-a-roo! Baby Kazoo loved his warm bath! π₯°βΊοΈ
Happy Sunday, friends! This is Zoe. She is a 3 year old 45 lbs f1 aussiedoodle with piercing blue eyes. π©· Several months ago we happened upon a lady who raises aussies who was selling all her doggos. She was going through a divorce, had WAY WAY too many, and was very overwhelmed. We made the drive to meet Zoe and Liberty, 2 of her doodles. The girls were very nervous, but very sweet. We waited a week to think on it as we really weren't planning on adding any more. When we went back to see them again, the girls were still just as nervous, and still just as gentle and sweet. I knew I couldn't leave them there. I'm guessing there were over 50 dogs on property, all outside in kennels. I paid the lady and took the girls.
These 2 had never been on a leash or in a car. They had never been in a house or to a vet. They were pelted and filthy, but appeared healthy overall. We went straight to the vet and had an exam, heartworm test, fecal, and got caught up on vaccines and flea/tick/heartworm preventative. We came home, had a good shave down and a bath and hoped the girls would settle in.
Liberty has done just that. She has come full circle. You'd never know she spent her entire life outside as a kennel dog.
Zoe, on the other hand, is not thriving here in our chaos. We have decided to place her in a pet only home and not add her to our program as originally planned. It is so hard to know what of her behavior is caused by her environment/trauma vs what is her actual temperment. She is the SWEETEST soul, but the timidness is not something we want to risk adding into our lines.
Zoe doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She is a submissive girl. She gets along with other dogs and LOVES to play. She and Rosie wear me out. π She does well with women. She is still afraid of men and children. She goes straight to her crate every time they are near. She would do well with a single lady, a quiet couple whose husband wont be offended if she's standoffish wit
Being this adorable is just so exhausting! βΊοΈ
When the milk bar is running low and you were last in lineπ€£
Maui (Peep) and Beverly (Sunday) had a playdate! These 2 babies are from our "Easter" litter of f1b mini aussiedoodles out of Winnie x Neo. They live just a few blocks from each other in Ohio. We love that they get to have some brother sister time. Wrestling is so much fun! π€
What's on your ear, Bingo? π
Even though I usually use our Heinegar Opals, which are awesome btw, I kept hearing about this Neabot and finally caved. π I bought the original version and I do love it!
I'm not generally crazy about plastic combs, but these aren't too bad. Just keep back brushing and going over the coat several times to help avoid clipper lines and catch any stray hairs. Unfortunately, I haven't found any metal comb attachments that actually fit these clippers.
I do have to empty the catch compartment several times per groom, but not having hair everywhere is wonderful! The suction helps pull the hair straight for an even cut too, although it does help if your client will actually stand up for her haircut...ahem, Winnie. π They aren't any noisier or heavier than regular clippers. We give it aπ!
p.s. the correct order of a good groom is to bathe, blow dry, bush/comb, and THEN clip! Clipping a dirty coat is often difficult or even impossible bc the combs and blades do not glide through the coat easily. It also dulls the blades! Read our pinned post at the top of our page for our other grooming suggestions. :)
This is PATIENCE. She is a gorgeous little curly girl with a split face and partial mask just like her Momma, Juliet! She is going to be stunning!
Here's a little JOY for your Monday morning. π She is the littliest of the bunch and is going to be the sweetest curly girlie! π
Peace says it's just a lazy rainy Sunday here in Knoxville. π€
Hahaha. Oh, Rosie! We love you, goofy girl! She emptied the toy basket. π
