Poor fella! Usually our pups love the rain bc they get to play in it so much as young puppies here with us. With these guys it rained about 5 minutes of their lives until now. 😆

Dottie and Poppy are home safe and sound in Ohio and settling in for the night. Poppy's family sent us this video and it made me cry! Her new big brother is absolutely smitten and he was so surprised! I was already emotional today saying goodbye to the last of our "Birthday Pawrty" crew. It's always so bittersweet, but this right here is what it's all about. Instant best friends. 💜🥰

Ribbon and Popsicle are headed home to Ohio! Ribbon will live with one family and Popsicle with the other. They will have lots of playdates because their new moms are sisters just like they are! 😍 Even better, their new Moms are cousins to Maui's (Peep from our "Easter" litter) mom who is good friends with Beverly's (Sunday from our "Easter" litter) mom! We love that there will be 4 babies in the same circle, all siblings or half siblings! ☺️ Referrals are everything! 🧡🧡🧡

Ribbon's new name is Dottie. She weighed in at 6lbs 6 oz this morning. ❤️ Popsicle's name is still undecided as she is a surprise for their son and they want him to help with the decision. They may end up calling her Poppy. 💜 She weighed in at 8 lbs 2oz. We cannot wait to hear all about their adventures together! They are going to be so loved!

Ribbon and Popsicle are almost twinsies! They are our last 2 babies from our "Birthday Pawrty" crew. These adorable sisters will be going home to Ohio this weekend. For now, we are happy to have an extra few days to snuggle these precious little girls. 🤗

Handsome little Wish is headed home to middle TN! His new name will be Briggs. The kids had seen photos weeks ago and big sis even made a PowerPoint explaining all the reasons they needed to adopt him. 😊 They had no idea they were coming to pick him up today, but Mom and Dad checked them out of school for the big surprise. They were SO excited to meet this sweet boy! He is going to be so loved!

Pinata went home this afternoon. He will be living in Atlanta, GA. His new name is Teddy! His new dad is good friends with Archie's family. Archie is one of our bernedoodle babies from Juliet's first litter, so these two are actually half brothers!💙

Teddy's dad contacted us back in the summer and said he wanted a pup JUST like Archie. We think they are pretty similar, what do you think!? 😉

Archie's family picked Teddy up today and will be puppysitting for a couple weeks while Teddy's dad is out of town. These boys will be the best playmates! 🥰

Good morning from Atlas(Surprise)! This handsome boy joined his new family yesterday. He is also staying local, yay! He will be living in Hardin Valley with his new mom and dad, 4 human siblings, and 3 furry siblings!
Do you recognize the sable aussiedoodle? It's Piper (Nutmeg) from our "Herbs and Spices" crew last fall! 😍 She came to visit and pick up her new brother. We love repeat puppy families! We know this tiny boy is going to be so loved and spoiled!😘

Little Balloon and hims chunky wittle belly. 🥰 His new name is Roy (Ted Lasso). He is staying local too! He is moving to Maryville, TN about 20 minutes from us. He has 3 sweet kiddos waiting at home. They have no idea he is on his way and is their early Christmas surprise! 🎄😍

Check this out! The former owners of Victor have built and opened a brand new company! It looks very similar to how Victor used to be... Meat-based locally sourced, made in the USA in TX. Even the bags are the same color. 😆 We are going to give them a shot!

--Since I have had 2 messages about it tonight, I thought I'd share here as well. Our beloved Victor dog food has voluntarily recalled all of their hard kibble. 😫 A few months ago they had possible salmonella contamination in their 5lbs bags of Hi Pro Plus. Then a week or so ago they voluntarily recalled a small lot/batch of the 40lbs bags of Beef and Rice formula. Today they recalled them all. Chewy and Tractor Supply have pulled all their dry food off the shelves for now.

*** If you're picking up this week, please note your puppy WILL be coming home with a small bag of the Victor Hi Pro Plus! This is what we weaned them onto and what they have been eating for the past month. The bag we have been feeding from and will be sending home is obviously safe. ;)

Use this bag of food we send to transition to something new, at least until Victor sorts out their issues. Mix the Hi Pro Plus with the new kibble to help with the transition. If you do it all at once, your puppy could have major digestive issues and no one wants a p**psplosion 😂.

Purina Pro Plan, Diamond Naturals, Nutrisource, 4 Health, Inukshuk, have all been recommended in some of the doggo groups we are in.
So sorry, friends. :/ We are completely bummed too. We hope they get things cleaned up and sorted out bc we love Victor dog food!

*Sigh* But Popsicle has now become available. 😩 She was supposed to fly out tomorrow morning, but her family has come down with the flu and is unable to make other travel arrangements. Popsicle is also a sweet curly girl, but she is going to be a little bit bigger than Ribbon. We expect she will mature to around 35lbs. If you need a little snuggle nugget in your life and missed out before, here's your chance! She is the last baby we will have available until spring. Send us a message for an application! Dr. Lori was here this morning for checkups and vaccinations. We are so thankful for such a sweet vet who does housecalls for us so we don't have to haul them all into a clinic. Everyone got a clean bill of health and will be ready to meet their new families soon! 🤗

Getting in a little nosework in the bottle pool! This is probably my favorite part of our puppy curriculum. Most of our excercises/experiences come from Puppy Culture and/or Empowered Breeder, but this one is from Avid Dog. This enrichment excercise is meant to help build confidence. You can do this with older dogs too!

We simply scatter treats, and sometimes even just kibble, in the bottom of the pool encouraging pups to explore new and strange territory. The bottles are loud and clangy and feel strange under foot and help get puppies used to having unstable objects that move around them. We switched from using an actual kiddie pool to this ball pit tent as it seems to help contain the bottles better, but you can use anything, even a short cardboard box.

This litter had no hesitation whatsoever. They all jumped right in! I bet one of their favorite toys will be a simple plastic bottle. ;)

This is Kazoo! He is an f1b mini aussiedoodle and he is looking for someone to snuggle next weekend! He is charting to be in the 30-35lbs range and is a curly baby. The Birthday Pawrty babies are already 7 weeks old and they will be leaving us in just one short week. They are the sweetest babes and this time with them has absolutely flown by. 😩

We've done lots of noise exposure, crate time, and water play. We didn't get to do the bottle pool yet. We had a delayed delivery, but it should be here today. 🤞

They have access to the puppy yard full time, which makes house training so much easier! Overnight or when we are not home, they use the litterbox. Let me just say this has been by FAR the easiest group to litterbox train. We left their whelping box set up 2-3days longer than usual. Maybe this made a difference? We have had very few accidents outside the box and none over the last few days. 🥳

They have figured out that Momma Juliet is done nursing and they've been eating kibble really well this week. They have all gained at least a pound this week, some even a pound and a half! They are growing like weeds!

All have found homes except little Kazoo. He is a curly boy FULL of personality. We expect he will be in the 30-35lbs range as an adult. He loves the water, is one of the first out the gate and to explore new things. Definitely a curious and confident little dood. He is the one from our video yesterday wide awake while everyone else was snoozing in front of the fireplace, and the one chomping at the air from the leaf blower video. 😆He has FOMO, haha. He loves to give kisses and will snuggle when he's had enough playtime. He would make an excellent adventure buddy! He is looking for a best friend to hike and swim with him! 💗

It gets harder every week to get them to sit still for photos, so we've just got to take what we can get.😁

Dis boy!🥹 He is so mellow! He loves to be brushed and snuggled and loved on! He loves to give kisses and he LOVES the water. He would make a really good lazy lake dog for someone or even a good therapy pup! 🧡

Pinata is the biggest of the bunch. I expect he will mature to around 30-35lbs. He has a gorgeous wavy coat and a bit of an underbite. While this is definitely not a trait we breed for, it happens from time to time. It shouldn't ever cause him any issues and it's stinkin' adorable! He may still outgrow it yet, time will tell. He needs a family of his own and will be ready to cuddle next week!

Juliet got it the worst last night, of course, because she has a high prey drive and she's FAST! I ended up shaving her down with a 7f and salvaging most of her face. She's still stinky around the mouth, but overall I think we came out pretty good! That Dawn, baking soda, peroxide concoction works really well! She's grounded today, FYI. 🤣

The Birthday Pawrty Crew is 6 weeks old! 🥳 It is hard to believe we only have 2 short weeks left with these little party go-ers. 🥺
In the past week we have had lots of noise exposure: fireworks, sirens, crying babies, helicopters, leaf blowers dirt bikes, etc.
We have also started working on our manding manners. Manding is a learned behavior (we use "sit"), without giving a verbal command. It gives them a "voice" and helps curb jumping for attention. They don't get pets until they are sitting. This takes months of practice, but we work hard to give them a good foundation while they are with us. In the upcoming week we will do some more water play and break out the bottle pool, my favorite!
