We enjoyed having Husker stay with us this past week and a half. He’s Tessa’s 3rd pup to come back for boarding this year, so fun to see our dogs when they grow up! He’s a full brother to our Triss.

We’re open and booking some dogs for boarding through spring, summer, and fall of this year! Small boarding kennel Located in Knoxville Iowa close to red rock lake. We will only book a couple dogs at a time to ensure they get adequate attention.
$25/day -includes a walk and picture updates.

We had to say goodbye to the founding member of our pack this month.
We’ve had a lot of great adventures together and met a lot of great people since I picked him up at 12 years old. Obedience class, 4-H obedience and agility, 7 litters, training for and passing 8 hunt tests with our local hunt club, pheasant hunting with dad, a marriage, 2 moves, and 3 kids.
He will be missed, it was a good 12 years 💙

Our upcoming breeding female. Jazzy has passed her OFA health testing and we’re just watching for the right time to have another litter. We’ll be shooting for a 2024 litter and we will likely be using a black stud this time depending on interest.
Let us know if you’d like to be put on a contact list for a Jazzy puppy next year! We prefer to have a few families interested ahead of time before we decide to breed.

We’ve got some new, exciting plans ahead! Hoping to offer boarding here this summer/fall! We’ve got a small (4 dog) indoor/outdoor climate controlled building up. Waiting on some paperwork and some rock for our play yard soon, will keep you posted on that progress.

Jazzy passed her OFA eye certification yesterday in Cedar Rapids! She did wonderful, walked in at heel and sat during paperwork, and held very still for the vet with eye drops magnifying head gear, and bright flash lights.
We’re getting closer! Assuming everything goes as planned with her other tests we’re hoping for a summer/fall litter.

Bayard Acres Wild Jasmine “Jazzy” is 2! She’s been a quick learner and -now that she’s a little older- has been very gentle with our 2 young children. She’s got great retrieve drive, and has completed collar conditioning, basic obedience, and force-fetch, looking forward to brushing up on that and further training once the weather is consistently nice!

She’ll be getting her OFA hips, elbows, and eyes evaluated very soon and we hope to have a litter out of her this coming summer/fall!

Triss is about 5 months

Tessa and Zupplin are retired and having a blast roaming free on our 3 acres
Zupplin spends most of his time sleeping on the couch or his dog bed when the kids aren’t eating. At mealtimes he knows the best place to be is under the high chair 😂
Tessa likes to be outside but comes into the mudroom more as the weather gets colder. She is ALWAYS at my heels anytime I’m outside, waiting at the fence during milking time, and following me and the kids around the yard.
we’ll be getting jazzy health tested once she turns two this winter, she likes to romp with the other girls and retrieve bumpers and tennis balls.
Our next litter will likely be be summer/fall of 2023 assuming Jazzys testing goes well and depending on when she comes in heat.
Triss will be on deck after that, her obedience and retrieving are coming along nicely, and she spends lots of time wrestling with Jazzy.

Little miss Zippy is doing well! Just got her 8 week shots and dewormer, and still looking for her forever family 💗

Force-Fetch is paying off! Love her go-all-day retrieve drive, and now she’s holding in to heel. Next up: steady at the line, definitely need to learn some self control, but she’s coming along!
