Our Story
Kodiak Dog Kennels has been operating for 11 years. I was constantly watching peoples dogs when they would leave the Island and found I really enjoyed it. We have always owned a dog or two, and both my husband and I had dogs growing up. My friend Trina McKechine (former owner of Red Gate Pet Boarding) suggested I look into starting my own boarding business, she was having to turn people away. So we made some changes, I quit my job and Kodiak Dog Kennels opened!! It’s great to love what you do and I feel very lucky to have this opportunity. Kodiak has been very supportive of us. We are a family owned and operated business.
