🧡Happy Go Home Sunday NASH!🧡 Today is a challenge for many homeless dogs. Some are lucky, some are not. Nash was found as a stray. He was malnourished and in bad need of orthopedic surgery to fix his hip. Nash was lucky. Shelby County Animal Control , Hometown Mutts & Friends Inc, Adopt Me! and an inmate trainer in our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program rallied to save him and rehabilitate him. 🧡🐶October is National Pit Bull Awareness Month!🐶🧡 These happy faces are here to celebrate! Mack, Clover, Cupcake and Bean are four lovely, happy, friendly pit bull mixes that are patiently waiting for their forever homes! We know pitties aren't for everyone and that's okay. Adopt Me! is an all breed rescue. When you've gotten to know as many dogs as we have, for us, it all boils down to the dog's individual temperaments. We have met many, INCREDIBLE pits. They are affectionate, gentle, loyal and smart! They are the highest breed population in shelters and cause for shelter overpopulation. They show up, to some extent, in over 70% of the DNA tests that come back on our adoptables. They have the reputation they have because humans created it, not because they were born that way. She will do best in a quiet home as it takes her a bit to warm up to new things. She needs a sturdy, physical fence. She prefers younger, laid back dogs. So, if you were thinking of getting one of those comfort, weighted blankets, here she is! IMPORTANT: Please Keep in mind Nala is 135lbs and 4 years old.
