To our Valued Customers,
The health and well-being of your pet is our top priority. As news of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in our community continues to develop, we are monitoring the situation closely.
At this time, we are open but are operating under modified business hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 8:00-2:00 pm
While the CDC and other health authorities have indicated that dogs, cats, and other domestic animals are not considered at risk for contracting COVID-19, we are taking extra precautions to ensure the health and safety of humans within our facilities— notably our clients and staff. Keeping our practice "hospital-clean" has always been a priority for us, and we continue to do so. Additionally, for the safety of our team and your family we are monitoring CDC recommendations and will continue to increase our attention to cleaning frequency and methods accordingly.
For clients needing medication or food, please phone ahead so we can have your order ready, and we will bring it out to you when you arrive. We can give you the price when you phone, and either take credit card information at that time, or you can pay with check or cash when you are here . If you need change we will take payment at your vehicle and then return with the needed change. Please stay in your car the whole time.
Although we are continuing to have pets in the office, we are having clients stay in their cars during the exams, and we will be on the phone with you during the exam (either by Facetime or over the phone). During the exam we will have you phone Dr. Vicki at 715-403-1348 and you can participate in the exam remotely. THE OFFICE DOOR WILL BE LOCKED, so please call us at 532-5539 when you arrive if we haven't come out to meet you within a few minutes. Please park by the big window by Judy's desk so we can see you when you arrive. If you are showing any signs of illness for any reason , then please either reschedule your pet, or have someone else that is healthy bring the pet in for their visit. Please stay in your car at all times.
When done, we will let you know the cost, and you can pay by either credit card over the phone, or check or cash when we bring the pet back to you out in your car. We will only be allowing staff in the hospital itself (both to keep the products clean that we dispense, and to protect our health). Dr. Vicki and staff are monitoring themselves closely and no one will be at the office that isn't feeling healthy.
Emergency service will consist of advice over the phone for our clinic (Dr. Vicki can be reached at 715-403-1348) as there is no way Dr. Vicki can both restrain and treat a pet without some assistance. Otherwise we normally refer patients to Oakwood Hills Animal Hospital in Eau Claire, WI at 715-835-0112. Blue Pearl Vet Clinics in Minnesota offer 24 hour service, but I am not sure of their current situation as far as admitting new patients.
For more information and health guidance regarding COVID-19, please visit the CDC or WHO websites. For additional questions, please contact us at 715-532-5539.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation. We look forward working with you and your pets during the time of the "new normal" and hope you and your pets stay in good health and stay safe during these scary times.
