Little Tater Tott sure is growing, but the little guy has gotten a sprang paw. Fortunately it isn't broken. He's uncomfortable, but the Vet says he's doing fine.

** HELP NAME THIS KITTEN **

This little guy was abandoned in a "food drop" by it's mother cat. We sat and watched for over an hour to se if the mother would come back, but unfortunately she did not. It was getting dark, and opossums sometimes visit our food drop locations, so we decided the best course of action was to bring this little guy home.

He went to the Vet yesterday, May 21, 224, ad the Vet says that she doesn't think it can see very well. his eyes do respond to light, but not as well as they should, and his eyes have a "glazed-over" staring look to them, like he can possible see shapes and shadows, but can't make out any details.... perhaps this is why momma cat abandoned him?

The Vet believes he is only about 3 weeks old, so there is a chance that his vision just isn't fully developed, yet. Hopefully his vision will improve as he gets older.

He is currently being bottle "syringe" fed, and he is quite the little oinker! Loves to eat, and doesn't spill a drop, lol. Really takes feeding time quite seriously, and is always eager to gulp down a meal.

We will post regular updates, but if his vision doesn't develop fully or improve, then the homes we adopt him out to will be limited, and we would require a letter of recommendation from your Vet.

This cat doesn't really have a name, so we have just been referring to her as "Outside Momma". When she first started coming around, she was very scared of us, and would only come up to eat her food after we set the food down and waled away.

After a few months of working with her every day, she has now discovered that she absolutely LOVES to be pet, and on occasion she will even roll over for a quick belly rub, though she does get a little sassy, and joyfully growls at us as we pet her belly.... I guess it's her way of telling us she loves the belly rubs, but that she is still the one in charge.

Momma currently has 4 kittens which we plan to catch this week and take to the Vet for standard medical treatment & exams. If everything checks out, we will begin working with these kittens and start looking for homes for them here in about 2-3 weeks.
