We’re so grateful for the support we’ve received so far, but we’re still counting on your generosity to continue helping animals in need. We are still collecting some wish list items to help the animals at Helping Paws Animal Shelter. Below are a few items they are looking for in donations.
• Nylon Leashes for safe walks
• Paper Towels for daily care
• Cat Toys to keep the kitties happy and engaged

Don't forget about movie night next week at Classic Cinemas. 7pm -Feb 10th Woodstock, Feb 11th Carpentersville, and Feb 12th Fox Lake. The movie is a love story about a litter of puppies that suddenly becomes paralyzed and the courageous women who rally to save them. This litter of puppies unleash the power of hope, commitment and love.
Puppy Love took place in Huntley, IL!!!! A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Helping Paws.
There will be a Q&A after the film with Gail the filmmaker.

Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, hosted its traditional Groundhog Day, and the news isn’t great—Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, meaning six more weeks of winter weather.

This tradition dates back to 1886 when Groundhog Day was officially recognized in Pennsylvania. Since then, every February 2nd, thousands of people gather in Punxsutawney to hear the forecast from this furry meteorologist. Phil “communicates” with the president of the Groundhog Club using a special cane (how exactly—remains a mystery).
