Hey everyone!

If you're looking for a delicious and easy-to-grow fruit to add to your garden, consider planting sugar baby watermelon! These small, round watermelons are perfect for snacking and are packed with sweet flavor.

Here's some information to help you get started with planting:

Planting time: Sugar baby watermelon seeds should be planted in late spring, after the last frost has passed and the soil has warmed up.

Soil requirements: Sugar baby watermelons prefer well-drained soil that is rich in organic matter. They also need plenty of sunlight, so choose a spot in your garden that gets at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight per day.

Planting method: Plant sugar baby watermelon seeds 1 inch deep and about 3 feet apart. Once the seedlings have emerged, thin them to 1 plant every 3 feet.

Watering and fertilizing: Sugar baby watermelons need regular watering, especially during dry spells. Fertilize with a balanced fertilizer once a month during the growing season.

Harvesting: Sugar baby watermelons are ready to harvest when the skin turns a deep green color and the underside of the fruit turns yellow. Simply cut the fruit from the vine and enjoy!

Happy planting and happy harvesting!

There was a farmer who grew excellent quality corn. Every year he won the award for the best grown corn. One year a newspaper reporter interviewed him and learned something interesting about how he grew it. The reporter discovered that the farmer shared his seed corn with his neighbors. “How can you afford to share your best seed corn with your neighbors when they are entering corn in competition with yours each year?” the reporter asked.

“Why sir,” said the farmer, “Didn’t you know? The wind picks up pollen from the ripening corn and swirls it from field to field. If my neighbors grow inferior corn, cross-pollination will steadily degrade the quality of my corn. If I am to grow good corn, I must help my neighbors grow good corn.”

So is with our lives... Those who want to live meaningfully and well must help enrich the lives of others, for the value of a life is measured by the lives it touches. And those who choose to be happy must help others find happiness, for the welfare of each is bound up with the welfare of all...

Thanks Kevin Conner for the yard art! Certainly adds a little character to the farm.

Goats have something else to play on. My guess this will be one of their favorite places to hangout during the day.
