I often say that Piper is my soul cat but she’s more than that. This little cat makes my anxiety melt away. Her little paws on my leg can change my whole day. But sometimes that anxiety manifests as “lost Piper” dreams. It is never simple, but always some elaborate or apocalyptic reason we are separated. We always reunite but then I have a horrible time sleeping afterwards unless she lays with me. Tonight she is with me thankfully and I’ll eventually fall back asleep.

I submitted Piper’s DNA to Wisdom Panel a few weeks ago and got the results yesterday. I’m absolutely fascinated that my tiny cat is part Norwegian Forest cat and part Maine C**n, but I love knowing she’s likely to stay healthy and have her blood type just in case it’s ever needed.

Meet Pixel! Pixel is about 10 years old and is looking for a forever home. His previous owners wanted him to have a happy and relaxed senior kitty-hood, something he was not having without any cat friends and having to live with dogs. He is sweet, cuddly, and still playful. He will be in a foster home for the time being, but I’m hoping to find him a perfect home.

If you want to declaw your cats, you cannot adopt them from me.

You can see here, cats walk on their toes. When a cat is declawed it’s an amputation to the first joint. Basically the toes are amputated. This changes the way a cat walks and over time causes arthritis to multiple areas of the cats body. Declawed cats often avoid the cat box because of pain in the feet and arthritis in the body….. Please do not declaw your cat 🐾

These two are ready for their forever home. Teagan and Quinn are adorable together but also very different. Teagan loves people and snuggling with them. Quinn loves to be around other cats and will follow them around until they give in and play with her.
