One of the most important skills to teach every horse is how to calmly and safely load into a trailer! This not only prepares your horse for emergencies but also makes travel for shows and trail riding so much more enjoyable for everyone!
Have you ever wondered what the inside of a horses mouth looks like?? Here is an unclose and personal view from some of the dental work that was done last week on many horses here at LEC.
Fun facts:
Horses teeth continuously grow so they must be checked yearly to file down any sharp points as well as check the tooth alignment.
The metal plate holding the horses mouth open does not hurt them in any way. It is just like a mouth prop used in human dentistry only horse size!
These two are quite special….. they are the oldest horses here at LEC. Tork is 35 years old and Moe is 33. They are enjoying retired life and get play time together every morning!
We have an extra special #WildlifeWednesday post this week! Baby coyotes were seen traveling through last week early in the morning. It’s so fun to see all of the wildlife that calls LEC home!
