It’s been an extremely busy 2 weeks for Leo's Helping Paws! We not only had the Biggest Fundraiser of the year, our Bow Wow Bingo! We received 6 Grant Requests! 4 of them were given last week and 2 were waiting to hear from us to Schedule much needed Surgeries. The 4 rescues helped were Perfectly Paired Pitties - P3 for the Vet care of “Arlo”…Char-Wills German Shepherd Rescue for the Vet care of “Freya”…Adopt a Homeless Animal Rescue Inc for the Vet care of “Diesel”…and Nirvana Animal Rescue who applied several months ago for the Vet care of “Ophelia” (before and later pictures). The amount given to these 4 Rescues was over $6000 and $4000 Pending for the other 2. $10,000 in less than a Month!!

Thanks to your Support and Successful Fundraising Efforts, Leo's Helping Paws can not only help Non Profit Dog Rescues in Pennsylvania, we help Rescues in all the States Bordering Pennsylvania. We recently gave a Grant to Central Ohio Sheltie Rescue for the Vet Care of “Brynleigh. Here is her story…

BRYNLEIGH HAS A HEART CONDITION KNOWN AS A PDA. SHE WILL NEED SURGERY IN ORDER TO CORRECT THIS MEDICAL ISSUE. HER CHANCES OF SURVIVAL ARE EXCELLENT. SHE SHOULD HAVE A NORMAL LIFE SOON AFTER THE SURGERY.
We are happy to report that she is doing well after surgery!!! What a Beautiful Dog ❤️🐾🙏❤️🐾

Well we experienced a First today at Leo's Helping Paws Bow Wow Bingo! Our 50/50 this year was to benefit the Amazing Rescue, Pitties.Love.Peace. We ended up raising the most money EVER! One Lucky Person was going to take home $1570! The Winner was Amber Rudy. When I handed her her winnings, she handed it back to me and said..I want to Give it Back! 😳 The Crowd immediately gave her a Standing Ovation and she brought so many people to Tears! Including Myself! PLP went home with over $3000 to put towards their Vet Bills!

Leo Has Lent a Paw to Kodi's Club Rescue for the Vet Care of “Bentley”, Here is His Story….

Bentley was surrendered to ACCT on 9/13/24 after having been diagnosed with Parvo 3 days prior with his owner. ACCT contacted Kodi's Club because he was in need of immediate hospitalization. We had him admitted to Metropolitan Veterinary Associates the same day. At Metropolitan he began vomiting and regurgitating, and his diarrhea became profuse. A nasogastric tube was placed but Bentley also continued to have voluminous regurgitation despite frequent gastric evacuation. He was continued on IV fluids and medications. In addition to these, we obtained CanisCell RestorMune, a natural immune modulator, which the hospital agreed to inject. On 9/17/24, Bentley finally turned the corner and was able to be discharged to foster care on 9/18/24. His bill, including a rescue discount was, $6,670.05.
The Rescue raised $4800 and Leo's Helping Paws paid the Remainder of the Bill.
Bentley was one of the Lucky Pups to Kick Parvo, not all have Happy Endings 🙏❤️🐾

Leo has Lent a Paw to Tiny Paws Rescue for the Vet Care of Bigg’s. Here is his story…

Biggs came into ACCT Philly as a stray, possibly hit by a car. Biggs had multiple injuries that could not be treated at the shelter. Upon evaluation at Blue Pearl, he was diagnosed with a right ilium fracture, left ischium fracture, and displaced hips.
The estimate to get this little guy Healthy was over $8000!!! Leo's Helping Paws gave a Grant of $2000 to Help with his Vet Care. Please check out this Rescue, they are in Philadelphia and they have some adorable Small Dogs if you are looking to Adopt 🥰🐾❤️

Leo's Helping Paws has teamed up with Texas Roadhouse for one of the Favors at this year’s Bow Wow Bingo! on October 27th. (Which is SOLD OUT) The favor consists of a Bag of their Peanuts, a Card for a FREE Appetizer and a Flyer that will give 10% of your check to Leo’s. The Dine Out Event is scheduled for Tuesday November 12th. Because there are people who have Nut allergies we will hand the Favor out at the end of our Bingo. Didn’t really think about this until one of our Volunteers brought it to my Attention! So if you are attending our Bingo, don’t forget to grab one! We will have extra Flyers and Free Appetizer Cards for those who do not want the Peanuts. See ya next Sunday!
