PUPDATES!

Thanks to all your pumpkin purchases, our FIV kitty, KELLY, was able to have her dental procesure at Crest View Animal Clinic, LLC to remove her remaining painful teeth. She's a little woozy tonight but will be feeling better in no time.

BOOTS, our million dollar kitty, has moved into a foster home (Thanks Liz!). He's not out of the woods yet, being closely monitored and still on meds, BUT he is feeling a whole lot better and less stressed (stress was apparently the trigger of his situation). Total 4 days in 2 different hospitals (Vida Vet ER & Nonantum Veterinary Clinic) land $2000+ bill. Your sp*edy donations helped us get Boots the urgent care he needed.

COOKIE had her gruesome mouth lump removed and it was ... (drum roll please 🥁 ) ... BENIGN! Cookie is 100% more comfortable and thanks you for your support!

It truly takes a village - thanks to all who made this happen! 🙏🐾💕

LOST DOGS IN LINCOLN UNIVERSITY
Posting for somebody who's not on Facebook. Black and tan Cattle Dog and brindle Pit Bull type terrier we're on the porch with his wheelchair bound father and they took off from 199 Kimble Rd. Contact Jim Dougherty 445-304-9341 if they're spotted.

Due to the loss of two of our key crew members, Hockessin Haunted House will not be open in 2024. However, plans are underway for 2025! More to follow!

NOTE: The skeleton yard will be open this year, so drop by after October 7th to enjoy the view and drop a little 💰in the donation jar to help our sheltered pets stay warm this winter!

One of the new additions to the skeleton yard will be Legs, the spider! He's hungry and anxious for your arrival. 🕷️

After an ER visit on Sunday to unblock him, BOOTS is back at the vet this morning - still straining and not producing p*e.

Nonantum Veterinary Clinic will drain his bladder and hopefully be able to leave the catheter in for a couple of days while everything calms down.

Boots has been an amazing patient throughout this – he is obviously in pain but allows the vets and technicians to poke, prod and squeeze him.

Not sure what the damages are going to be for today – Sunday's visit cost a little over $1000. If boots is going to have any chance of recovery, he needs a quiet foster home. All of our foster homes are filled up because kitten season never ended this year. If you love orange cats and have a spare bedroom where he could hang out, please let us know! Boots will be on a special diet, possibly for life, which we will provide.

I'm adding a donation button for today. We were able to cover half of his expenses yesterday – thank you very much!

UPDATE: Boots is back from Vida Urgent Care. His bloodwork looked good and they were able to drain his bladder. No stones but a lot of inflammation. Probably due to stress. He was licking at the food they sent home with him and looking a lot more comfortable after we set him up in a solo cage (so we can monitor his intake and output). We would LOVE to get Boots into a foster home so he can decompress with less stress. Total bill today $1075. A huge thank you to Eric who spent most of his Sunday in Middletown with Boots! Also a shout out to Vida for getting Boits in on a Sunday!

URGENT HELP NEEDED! We have three cats dropped off yesterday because the family was moving. All of them were frightened, as to be expected but one, BOOTS, an orange tabby boy, was especially cringing. Upon closer inspection this morning, it appears that Boot, in fact, is blocked (can't pass urine). His bladder is huge and it is a very painful and fatal condition if not treated.

As we speak, Boots is headed to Vida Veterinary Urgent Care in Middletown. Fingers crossed we can save this boy that we haven't even had a chance to get to know. Please help if you can - any amount towards his vet bill will be gratefully appreciated. 🙏💕🐈

A HUGE THANKS to everyone who came out for PAW PRINTZ 2024!
It's a wrap! The weather cooperated, the winery was beautiful, the band was awesome and our attendance was the highest since COVID-19!

Thanks to our vendors, our silent auction donatirs and bidders, 30 band members, volunteers and winery folks! I hope I don't miss some tags... it takes a village – thank you for your support!

Tiday is COOKIE's big day! She is in good hands at Crest View Animal Clinic, LLC where she is having her oral mass removed today. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers! She came through surgery well and the biopsy is off the lab. Fingers and paws crossed that it is benign and she can get back to her happy life in her foster home. Thanks for your support – our village came through to make this surgery happen sooner than later!

ACE seems to be part cat as he searches for Spring Crickets in his foster home. Ace is a 1 year old Pitihuahua who is looking for his forever home!

Little ANNIE learns to walk

Little ANNIE was dropped off by an Amish man without a whole lot of information. She is a toy poodle, approx 6 years old and was used for breeding. Annie has been checked by our vet and received her first vaccines. She has horrible teeth and will be officially available for adoption after her spay/dental procedure. We would consider a local foster-to-adopt situation. Annie cane in with another Poo - SANDY. Sandy is a bit more withdrawn but will also be available for adoption soon 💕🐾
