Please be aware with your canine companions, there is an upper respiratory infection spreading around town. Coughing and sneezing excessively can be symptoms. Even if your dog is covered with it's Bordetella vaccine this infection can still be transferred to other dogs. Contact your veterinarian if these symptoms start to present in your dog and please keep your dog(s) away from other dogs. Most cases resolve on their own, but if you need to bring your dog to the clinic please remain in your vehicle with your dog, and call into the clinic, a Technician and Doctor will come out to help.

Please avoid public areas with your dogs as much as possible (Vet clinics, boarding, day cares, groomers, dog parks)

Several new blue-green algae blooms have been reported including the laramie river!

**Links down below of a interactive map of current blooms reported in Wyoming**

This algae can produce toxins (poisons) that can make humans sick and can lead to animals getting sick and even death.

Things to follow:
--Do not allow children or pets to play in or drink scummy water.
--Don’t let children or pets swim in or drink from areas where the water is discolored or where you see foam, scum, or mats of algae on the water’s surface.
--If your children or pets, especially dogs, swim in scummy water, rinse them off immediately. DO NOT let your pets lick the scum off their fur.

Happy International Woman's Day!

"In 2009, the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) reported that women outnumbered men in the veterinary field for the very first time. Since then, women’s representation has continued to rise; they now account for 63 percent of the 50,000 veterinarians in the US, according to the latest AVMA data."

He doesn't have a microchip and didn't have a collar on.
