Some pattern work with Diamond today! Working on clear communication to help our horse go exactly where we want them to go!
Well I guess winter is finally here 😩 🥶 but we’ve been making the best of it and are still spending what seems like hours at the barn every day because of this little guy!!! Can’t wait for spring and for lessons to be back in full swing so everyone can meet baby Blue! 💙
Journey Horse 😁
Journey Horse 😁
Look at her go!!
Look at her go!! We said the challenge was trotting through weaving the cones, and she said challenge accepted!!!
We saw an Eagle last night getting ready for lessons!!!! 🦅
No stirrups 🙅🏻♀️
Journey has come out of hibernation and has decided to be a lesson horse again 😆
The horses & Sylvie!
The horses & Sylvie. Cloud is definitely the most curious… Dime is suspicious.. Sadie is like awe cute, Cincinnatti says here we go another baby… and Journey was too busy eating to really care this time!
Not too shabby for his FIRST CANTER!!! 🐎
These two are ready to start working on riding without stirrups to start moving towards learning to canter!! We’ve done a lot of no stirrup work at the walk, but today we finally challenged posting at the trot! The girls said it was a lot easier than they expected, and Hanna even did a great job connecting with Sadie and slowing her back down without loosing her balance (did you see her few canter strides at the beginning of her turn!?)
Working on some flatwork & doing some dressage type exercises this morning with Cloud man! He has been so good the last few lessons!
Playing “pass-ies”!
This is a game I remember doing during my riding lessons when I was a teenager! Plus Great practice on horse control and not just doing regular trotting on the track too!
So much to learn when it comes to jumping!
Working on our canter!! Sadie is such an angel pony 🤍
Fancie was feeling good this morning with the cool weather!! We had a great lesson working on two point jumping position!
Lucy and Fancie! They had an extra fun lesson because Fancie actually voluntarily gave Lucy her first canter experience 😅
I have been so slacking on getting pictures & videos during lessons because we’ve been working so hard and I just haven’t thought of it… but during this mama & daughter duo lesson this video was taken of Kennedy riding Sadie for the first time and it just makes my heart so happy. Kennedy is working so hard to get her posting trot, and Sadie is so adored by her lesson kids and is fitting into the WHE lesson program just perfectly. 🥰
I just have to brag about these two lesson students for a moment- these two only ride every other week, and every lesson they show up READY TO RIDE!!! They are always up to trying new things, learning, and give every minute of their lesson 100%- every single time. Great job girls!!! So proud of you and all my students!!
Reminiscing to last week when we were able to wear a tshirt… and now today here we are back in winter coats 😩 Naomi and Sadie make the cutest little pair!!
