I am more than a little late in posting information on the April Agility trial premium. It is posted on the AKC Event Calendar and to the CDTCA group email i sent today.
It is on April 14-16 at Bell County Expo. Dave Nauer is our judge.

I have great students in the intro to obstacles class. So far, they are quick to learn, and their dogs are very eager to try the agility exercises i set up.
Not to be overshadowed, my Tue intro to sequencing students are going to be competitive. Their first session was interrupted by the hot summer that came on too soon but you can not tell that it has been months since they ran the tunnel or a frame. so proud of them.
Wed is for my steady eddies!! I am always happy to work with them and increase the challenges found in agility courses while making it fun at the same time.

I want to thank the club members who came out in Sept to work on the field by raking the mulch, painting the dog walk skins soon to be installed on the lowered dog walk, they trimmed bushes, cleaned out the ex-pens and much more.
Today i went out and removed the rest of the old wooden skin on the lowered dog walk and by this weekend, the frame should be ready to paint. Hopefully in two weeks, it will be back in use by our intro to agility obstacles class.

Our August Agility Trial is in the books. Thank you to all the club members who supported this trial with their entries and their time to man the ring during the day.
We also have loyal workers from out of town who also worked many classes and hours during the three days.
Without everyone's help, we could not hold agility trials.
Linda Robertson, our judge, was wonderful to work with, her knowledge of each class and the challenges helped her create flowing courses with just the right challenges for each level.
Thank you again, I look forward to working with our members and non members again in November.

Our meeting went well enough at the Santa Caterina. I wish they had better noise control ceiling as it is always difficult to hear. The side conversations during the BOD and committee chair reports also contributed to the difficulty hearing.
It is time to find a better location to meet.
In looking ahead at our future events, the Oct Obed and Rally Trial is special. Cathy has organized very profitable raffle table. This year she needs a club member or two to step up to make it happen. CDTCA has higher than average expenses to date than normal. The raffle for the Oct trial will be a welcome source of income.
Cathy will be available as a resource. Some please step up as if you don't, then who will?

It is DONE!!!
CDTCA'S contact equipment has new rubber skins.
Thanks goes to Paw Power Agility Equipment and Mike Press.
They look great and our digs are going to love the softer, quieter, and safer contacts.
Mike let me help. I got to drill the rivets and carry the skins. He really appreciates help.
