This weather is making for great evenings with the ponies! … and the farm pup of course🥰
Nice evening in the barn with the ponies and barn pup!
The tack room got some much needed updating! It’s so much brighter, cleaner, and fresh🤍
Let there be light!💡
In the first clip, you can see the old incandescent lights that weren’t doing a whole lot. These are the last to remain in the barn, but these were the main source of light in the barn at night. Most were burnt out or close to it, so once the sun went down, it became very hard to see inside the barn. We’ve sice replaced the incandescents with much larger LEDs that make long nights in the barn much more enjoyable and functional. The guys have been hard at work this past week putting up light poles, adding more security cameras, and working on our secure entry system for the gates.
A much needed renovation that has made a world of a difference🙌
This is how we clean stalls here at Diamond J Ranch! We’ve tried multiple techniques and have found that this is what works best for us.
Why are we putting awnings on the ends of our arena? This is why…
When the fence was put up in the arena, it was extended past the roof. The bigger the better when it comes to arenas, right? While we love the extra space, there is no covering over the area and the arena floods badly because of it after a couple days of wind and rain as you can see. Luckily, the other end does not flood nearly as bad, however, it is designed the same way and does get pretty wet. The awnings will cover these spaces at the ends which will prevent rain from coming into the arena and flooding, give us more storage for arena obstacles, and provide additional shelter for events in the future.
Please be aware that with the flooding and construction, we will not have haul-ins until after January 24th. Thank you for your patience— it will be well worth the wait!
Buttercup gained quite the fan club last week! Today, her and Lily tried something new and they both had a blast. Look at that pasture puff go!🌼
First truck load is dumped, 2nd truck is on the way! We can’t wait to get this stuff worked in today🤩🙌
