As a reminder to all of our clients : as much as we wish we could see every sick pet or emergency, unfortunately we are still limited with our doctors availability. We do save sick and emergency spots for the day of, however these spots are sometimes full by 7:45am when the phones go on at 7:30am. We know no one wants to go to urgent care or the emergency room, however we are in a time where this is unavoidable. As when we call our own primary doctor, referrals are becoming more frequent. We are lucky to have some amazing urgent care, emergency and referral hospitals within driving distance from us. When you get our answering service they can provide options and if you call the office we will be more than happy to go over places nearby with you. The doctors and staff are doing the best we can to get things seen in a timely manner. We ask that you please remember- if we are referring you, it is in the best interest of your pet to go to one of these places. Our doctors fitting in every sick pet would not result in the best medicine or care for your pet and this is not how we want to operate. We thank everyone for your understanding.

Happy vet receptionist week to all our front line people. Though it’s not an easy job and there is a lot to deal with, you do it with ease. We are very grateful for the work you all do and for being the first relationships the clients develop walking through the door. Thank you!

As summer approaches and we all hope for less rain and more warmth and sunshine, time for booking vacations is here! When planning your time away don’t forget to make sure you plan ahead for your pets also. As a reminder, we do offer boarding here for all of our dog and cat patients. Included in the boarding fee (which is charged per night) are all the little things that cost extra elsewhere. We have plenty of bowls, bedding (comforters, blankets, towels and pet beds) to make sure they are comfortable, dogs are walked on a leash in our fenced area 4-6 times daily, cat boxes are changed out as they are used and extra love and attention is always available! The other benefit (especially for older, sick borders) is that we have our doctors available anytime a concern or illness (we do see our fair share of upset stomachs!) arises. Any medications are administered as directed and we try to follow whatever special feeding schedule you may have. Please call the office with any questions or to book your pets stay!
