Sam Semkin has over 30 years experience with thoroughbreds including starting yearlings under saddle, preparing 2 year olds for sales, and racing.

Sam Semkin starts yearlings under saddle, prepares horses to be sent on to other trainers, works with problem horses, prepares 2 year olds for sales, starts back lay ups, and races horses. Sam also provides his experience to prepare yearlings for sales in the summer/fall. He is a hand on horseman and does most of the work himself, including riding his own horses. His experience started under the g

uidance of his grandfather Hall of Fall trainer Robert Wheeler, both riding races and working as assistant trainer. Sam is currently accepting new clients. Please contact Sam for more information.
