Looking to hire for a weekend AM/PM Ranch hand position at Mystical Rose Ranch, LLC beginning in October. Our current gal will be missed, but has new school obligations!

Morning shift takes about 4-5 hours and includes feeding and watering horses, cleaning stalls, and handling horses
Evening shift takes 1-2 hours and includes feeding and watering horses and handling horses.

Looking for a reliable, honest, hard working individual who wants extra $ and an opportunity to work with horses in a drama free environment at a small dressage training and boarding facility. We prioritize top quality care at the Ranch, so looking for someone who shares in our passion.

⭐️5 star home for a 5 star horse!⭐️ Were looking for a very special horse, so here are the specific needs:

•Safe, sane, kind, easy-going, friendly pony-sized equine for small_around 14ish hands depending on build, older, experienced adult not wanting any more injuries.
•Expecting to pay fair market price for a versatile, experienced, unflappable horse with a long resume and easy, comfortable gaits.
•Good for farrier and vet etc. Good with ba****ck pad and English saddle. Good off-property. Needs to enjoy attention, stand tied, haul, not spooky, no buck bite rear kick bolt etc. Comfortable with boarding environment, indoor and outdoor arenas – other horses and activities, nights in stall days in paddock.
•More whoa than go but willing to w/t/c in arena 1 - 3 times/wk; the rest of the time just walking/riding around property, liberty, in-hand, hanging out and grooming/fiddling, small trail rides, obstacles, playing with WE. Minimal sass.
•Will receive excellent and knowledgeable care – standard farrier, vet, plus complementary care as-needed.
•Older is ok – depends on type/breed and condition. Some maintenance ok. Must currently be in work.

Come meet your new best friend!

Ash is a 16.1hh 4 yr old American Warmblood gelding.
He was brought under saddle this spring and is taking things in stride, so is ready for a new job! He is nicely forward and enjoys being worked with and loved on.

Finally getting around to posting about our clinic held here at Mystical Rose Ranch, LLC with the fabulous Jennifer Kotylo and organized by Helena Rouhe Beat!

There were some fun rides for everyone with lots of learning; and we are eager to have her back!

Now that Doekle is back to work, I’m thankful to have some guidance so we can reach our full potential!

Friday reflections:

Sometimes it’s the little successes that have the greatest impact. Whether it be while training horses, teaching lessons, or during my own lessons, the small things add up, and oftentimes mean the most.

This sweet, sensitive Arab filly had a fear of water puddles. Like couldn’t ever possibly relax near one, nor in any event, walk into one. So we took our time in little steps for her to learn how to be brave, process it, breathe, try again, and come closer and closer to them, til before she knew it, she was just chilling walking through one. We took our time for sure, and even though it’s a simple, silly thing, it paid off-pretty soon we could walk through all the puddles, down the driveway, and into the trailer etc. with no issues and an overall relaxed, happy, willing horse.

The message I find here is to continue to celebrate the small successes and trust the process.
Being a trainer, I am blessed to be able to handle a variety of horses and riders with different goals and challenges, and I see daily how these “silly” or “small” things result in accomplishing huge goals.

Friday reflections:

Today was a brilliant, sunny day and a great way to end the week: Successful lessons and training rides, filled with happy horses and riders soaking up some rare winter warmth.

Something I’ve been thinking about is how grateful I am to have such a wonderful team at the Ranch-both equine and human.

Horses really bring people together in such a beautiful way and have such an impact on us humans: from the beginners who have just fallen for the “horse bug”, to the women rekindling their love of horses after a long time away from the animals. The connection between horse and human always fascinates me and I am truly inspired every day by the determination and willingness of my students and the horses I train.

What a blessing it is to have such a supportive and special community. I love that the barn is their happy place and we’re all here to learn and cheer each other on. My job can be exhausting and stressful, but the people and ponies around me make it so very rewarding.

So, thank you-all of you; to my barn help, my students, those who entrust their horses in my care and training, and those that support me and believe in me behind the scenes too. It is an honor to work with these creatures, and watching riders grow in connection with their beloved horses is amazing.

Cheers to happy riding and always cherishing the joy of the horse ✨
