the Polled Hereford breed originated in Iowa?

The breed was started by Warren Gammon, who formed the National American Polled Hereford Association in 1910 with 11 head. If you visit the Iowa State Fair, you can learn more about the breed in the Gammon Barn (located North of the cattle barn).
