Good morning! We recently updated our internet modem on Wednesday, August 28, which has unfortunately caused some unexpected problems with our phone system and voicemail. If you have left a voicemail and have not heard back from us, please know that we are working diligently to resolve the issue and retrieve your messages. As of 6:30 AM today, we have yet to receive any voicemails.

In the meantime, please email us at reach @ friendly-vet.com or call us during our open business hours at (630) 969-4224 and select option #2. We will get back to you as soon as we can.

Hello everybody!
We have been getting a large amount of calls today about the new respiratory illness that has been seen in Oregon and some other states recently. We wanted to let you know that we are in contact with CVMA (Chicago Veterinary Medical Association) as well as the ISVMA (Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association) and we are waiting to hear back from them about their recommendations for this new illness. At this time, we are not aware of any reported outbreaks in Illinois, which is great news. When we get more information we will most definitely let you guys know!

Found this friendly girl near Main St and Ogden Ave. She is staying warm at the Friendly Vet for now. Pink collar, no tags or chip. Anyone recognize her?

This friendly male brown tabby kitten was found Friday night around midnight in the area of College and Green Trails. He does not have a chip and was taken to Friendly Vet.

This young lady decided to go for a walk on her own and must have gotten herself turned around in the 2000 block of Ogden Ave today. She'll be waiting at the Friendly Vet for her parents. If you recognize her, let us or the owners know.

We spotted a rare Heathersauras at Friendly Vet today...all of the other dinosaurs are extinct, but Heathersauras stayed up to date on her vet care so she's doing GREAT 😂
