Day in the life. So today’s work, no biggie, just a new front overhead entrance to the ranch. We used hand hewn beams that were from an old barn in Ohio. I mean OLD…as in 1890 these bad boys were crafted. They are 10” solid wood. The support (side) beams are 23’ tall!! Top beam is 28’ long! Crazy fun working with materials that heavy AND big. Such beautiful craftsmanship will be on display now every time you drive thru. I’ll be posting more of the progress as well as final pics soon!!
Who rescued who? This tiny sweetie has done so much for so many…in SUCH a short amount of time. I will be forever grateful for oh so many unspoken reasons. //

Capturing my Unexpected Thrill: Downhill Ride on a Minion Cart! So, I had this crazy experience with our Taylor Dunn carts this week, we’ve nicknamed them ‘Minion carts’ because they’re adorable and look just like Minions. I was out doing the usual - mucking, feeding, and taking manure to the compost pile. But things took a wild turn on my way back. Picture this: I’m coasting downhill, trailing a cart behind, and suddenly, I realize the brakes are gone! Talk about an unplanned adrenaline rush. These carts aren’t designed for off-road excitement, and as this wasn’t a cart we had been using I quickly realized someone clearly forgot to do the maintenance! Racing down, heart pounding, steering to stay on the path - it was nuts! Thankfully, when the ground leveled out, and I pumped the brakes, they kicked in.
