The Lockhart Animal Shelter is overcapacity and in a CRITICAL situation. We are in URGENT need of adopters and/or fosters as our shelter continues to take in animals from the surrounding communities, even at our current situation.
Our shelter, along with many other Central Texas animal shelters, are experiencing the same challenge as more animals continue to be brought in. Even our partner rescues are limited in the number of dogs and cats they can transport.
In order to save lives and continue providing quality care at the shelter, community support is CRITICAL. That's where YOU come in. Your support can come in the form of adopting, and/or fostering some of our animals by letting them stay with you temporarily, along with spreading the word about our dogs and cats so they may find loving homes.
