Even though it's still hot outside, which is going to change soon, we have to start getting ready for fall and winter months ahead. As you can see, we are getting really low on our hay supply. If anybody out there can spare some hay, we would greatly appreciate it. 🙏

Aren't there Hibiscus flowers, beautiful?😍. We grow them for 1 reason. All the better to eat, my dear ! The tortoises 🐢 love ❤️ them! Every summer, we get these beautiful blooms for everyone to enjoy.

This is Charlotte. When we first got her, we kept her in a smaller enclosure. Now that we know that she has made herself at home, she gets to be out with the others in our farm section. Unfortunately, Sugar and Spice don't like to "share."

It's the Zoo Crew take two! The Zoo Crew is back from the Butterfly house in Muskogee. This is their second round of their summer program. They were so excited and had great questions. Can't wait to see the Butterfly house again this fall!

Looking for something educational to do with the kids. We discovered the Butterfly house in Muskogee at Honor Heights park. This place is so awesome! There's a beautiful garden to walk through and an special area where you can be surrounded by butterflies 🦋! We will be returning in a couple of weeks, I will get more pictures for you all to see.

When the Zoo Crew goes out, it's usually booked weeks in advance. Despite how bad I feel, recovering from a bad infection from a spider bite, the show must go on. The Zoo Crew is back from the Butterfly 🦋 house in Muskogee. We got the honors of being a part of their summer program. The kids were great and were very interactive. We are actually going to be there again in a couple of weeks.

The Zoo Crew is back from Happy Campers in Tulsa, this is their second location. They were so excited and super cute. They all did an awesome job and were brave touching the animals.

Do you know what else benefits from the Rose of Sharon flowers? It's a special treat for our African soft furred rats and our Hissing cockroaches. They love ❤️ them!

This is our Rose of Sharon bush, and it blooms hundreds of flowers every year. It's a great summertime enrichment for the turtles, tortoises, and even Charlie gets in on the action.

Every few months, John changes the reptile enclosures. The reason this is done is to give the animal environmental enrichment. It gives them a chance to explore their new surroundings and experience different smells and textures. Today, Colban got a new "condo." He loves it! ❤️

One thing I look forward to every summer is out Rose of Sharon blooming. Which means free food! I pick a bowl of flowers every day, and the tortoises love ❤️ them. Charlie, our Bearded Dragon, even gets in on the action.
