Down By The Creek Companion Animal Sanctuary is a home for around 100 rescued, rehomed, or unwanted pets that are rehabilitated, socialized, and trained for pet therapy. I am a certified dog trainer....and rehabber since 2007.

❤️X-rays and blood work was done and everything seems to be just fine!

❤️Neighbor Kitty….drifted into our sanctuary about 6 months ago and wouldn’t leave.
❤️He showed up very hurt one day….swollen head and face, so I rushed him to our veterinary.
❤️He recovered inside our house, and discovered he wanted more of that….but he fought with our other cats.
❤️A couple nights ago he was missing from our porch…..but it appears he’s considering moving across the street to try to convince Colt’s parents how much they need him!❤️
🥳Good news! His owners saw him posted here, and now he’s back home.

Living a purposeful life...down by a creek in Long Grove, Iowa!

A place of safety for over 100 rescued pets who have become advocates against cruelty.

Rescued animals to rescue people and the habitat we share.

This is achieved through Down By The Creek Companion Animal Programs in which rescued animals and their stories are shared off-site with young and old alike for therapy, education and fun! However, the message is shared also on-site through tours, parties, events, and the Saturday volunteer learning experience.
