Happy New Year everyone!!! I’m a bit belated on this, because 2023 was very draining. Sleep has eluded me for most of the year…and I’ve just realized it’s due to…MENOPAUSE!!! What an unexpectedly crazy journey it has been! I’m figuring it all out, and getting back into the saddle, so to speak. This week the staff of The Rose House came out for some Equine Facilitation™ fun! We had a blast, with big smiles all around and an opportunity to decompress and connect as a team. They are an extended care licensed residential addiction and mental health treatment facility for women. I am passionate about supporting them; they are top notch in what they do. Yesterday, for the Summer Solstice, I did yoga in a pasture w horses and some really great women! In the mountains, at Broken Arrow Ranch. It hailed before we started...on my way up. I almost turned around! But then it stopped and the sky was blue and beautiful while we practiced. At the end, the the clouds grew dark and it hailed shortly after we stopped. DETERMINATION

Today from the Whispers from A Horse’s Heart Card Deck, we pulled “Determination.” Here’s the message for today:

Your journey at this time may be full of blockages and limiting beliefs. It is with determination that you will prevail. Seek deep within your spirit the true “why” of your desires at present. When you find the answer to your “why,” ask deeper yet to the level beneath, until you uncover your true motivation. From that spot frame your will and focus all of your energy. You shall be fueled by the emotions creating the drive behind this move. Once you have explored and come in true contact with the depth of the emotional leverage that comes from discovering your true “why” you may summon all of your resources to from the necessary determination to break through the limiting beliefs to your desired outcome. Determine to succeed. – Melisa Pearce

This weekend I facilitated for Hope Held by a Horse, a non profit for women with cancer. Up until recently we only served women with breast cancer. Now we serve women with any type of cancer. It is an absolute honor to serve these brave women on their jorney, and to witness the horses showing up as they always do-full of love and grace as the incredible healers that they are. Tears transformed to smiles. So much love! AND...IT IS FREE FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS! If you know a woman who has gone through cancer, or is fighting it currently, pass along the info on beautiful program!

BREATHE

Today from the Whispers from A Horse’s Heart Card Deck, we pulled “Breathe.” Here’s the message for today:

Breathe deeply. Stop all forward movement. Allow the winds to roll over you. Take several breaths. It may be time to stop and take in all that has happened of late. This is your time to assess all lessons learned and notice any that have not been able to process at your pace. Breathe deeply filling your nostrils and filling your lungs with air to cleanse and exhale a true release. Right before embarking upon the next big and crucial step take in the breath of procrastination and preparation. Exhale with a breath of determination. Allowing all insights to catch up and be integrated will serve you well in the time to come. Stop and fully breathe. – Melisa Pearce

Yesterday was day one of my 8 week group. One of the amazing women present sent this quote to me this morning, based on our experience. I feel so blessed to do this powerful, meaningful work, with my most amazing equine partner, Cowboy.
