Butter is the last one of his litter to be adopted. He is between 8 to 9 months old. Pomeranian/minpin/chihuahua mix. He is a very happy boy but he is a bit shy when he meets new people and we are working with him. He does get along with other dogs and cats.

Latte is a female French Bulldog about 1 and a half years old. She is spayed, vaccinated, and chipped.

She is super social and wants to play with all people and dogs. She does not like cats. She is potty trained but has to be let out often. She is also crate trained.

Latte loves to play and receive belly rubs. She does demand attention, so boundaries are a must for her.

Update on Taco!!!

It has been awhile since we posted an update on Taco. Rescue never stops, and a lot has been going on both with Taco and other animals in our care. But moving forward.

We had thought we found a furever home for Taco. Unfortunately, it did not work out, so he came back.

We do have good news, though. We had met an incredible couple at an adoption event before Taco was diagnosed and wanted to foster him.

Despite his heart condition and prognosis, they still wanted to foster him. But this time its furever.

Meet Stephanie and Tommy. They have become a part of Pawfect's family and is Taco's furever foster family. We are still very much involved in Taco's journey and will provide anything and everything he will need.

We are looking for sponsors for him. If you think that could be you, please contact us by sending a message. Any little bit helps with his care.

PFAR, Stephanie, and Tommy are in this together. We hope he has a long life ahead of him.

Just a little update on Latte!!!

We are taking applications!!

Latte has been adjusting well with us!!! We have found out she absolutely loves to play with the other dogs. She has a lot of energy. She parkours when she is super excited, does not like windshield wipers, and adores belly rubs.

Miss latte is great with other dogs that want to play with 30 lbs of muscle. She doesn't like cats. She is mostly potty trained but still has accidents and kennel trained.

She has quite a personality and will let u know she is dissatisfied with her talking.

Latte's spay date is May 6 and will be ready to be adopted after she heals.

Her ideal home would be someone who is familiar with the breed and active.

Latte is a little over a yr old. She is vaccinated, chipped, and will be spayed.

After all this sweet girl has been through, we have been absolutely amazed how well she adjusted.

I feel like the general public has no idea what the animal crisis currently is. So here's an update:

- The animal shelters are full
- The rescues are full
- No kill shelters are full
- Adoptions are at an all time low
- Intake is at an all time high
- Euthanasia for space is at an all time high

Breeders are surrendering ENTIRE LITTERS, parents included. They arent selling. Puppies, pregnant moms, and good young pets are being euthanized daily. There is no space. The chances that there is a "really nice" home just waiting for your dog or cat are slim. Spay/neuter your pet. Train your dog. They are fine being home while you work. They sleep most of the day anyway. There isn't magically someone who has more time or can take better care. Stop trying to rehome them or surrendering them to the shelter because you don't have time. If you need help, there are organizations that can help with food and possibly medical. And/or direct you to an organization that can. Please keep your pet.

Sad news for our Taco.

Not too long after Taco's nuetered, it was noticed that he would faint/pass out by our foster. And then pop right back up, like nothing happened to him.

We took him in Thrive Affordable Vet to see the wonderful Dr. Chang. She checked his heart, and it def sounded like he had a heart murmur. There, he had bloodwork and x-rays. It was confirmed that he did have a heart murmur, and we were referred to see a cardiologist.

We saw a cardiologist at the VCA West Hollywood Animal Hospital. Hoping for good news, the doctor came in and told us he has Subaortic stenosis. Dogs with this diagnosis tend to only live 3 yrs. Taco is only 1 yrs old. There is surgery, but it won't prolong his life. We decided to put him on medication to help with his symptoms.

Right now, Taco is doing great. He is happy and in no pain. He has started his medication and will stay with us until we know he is doing well on his meds.

We do have 2 potential adoption that are seriously considering adopting him even with the medical condition, he has, but we don't know if it will pan out. And we have one foster that is seriously considering foster him till he crosses the rainbow bridge. All 3 people need a little time to think about it, and we totally understand.

For now, please send good vibes, good energy, and prayers for our little man. And we need to make a bucket list for him. So, if you have any great ideas, please leave a comment, and we will do what we can to make it happen!

Welcome Miss Latte!!!

This little girl has been through sooo much and she only a little over a year old!

Her original owners bought her to breed her and then moved out of their home and left her behind...she was left behind, with no one to take care of her. From what we were told, someone was coming to feed her every so often.

We were contacted and asked if we could take her in. We posted asking for help in finding a foster because do it without a foster. We got a couple of offers. So, fortunately, we were able to take her.

Latte was picked up last night. This poor little thing was so scared. On the ride home, she threw up nothing but foam. We have no idea when the last time she ate or drank water.

As much as Latte has been through, she is a resilient one. This morning, less then 12 hrs after being picked up, she was bunny hoping and trying to play with the other dogs and the humans, who are temporarily taking care of her until she goes to her foster home.

Right now, she is decompressing and being assessed. From what has been seen, she is a complete sweetheart.

Latte won't be ready to adopt for bit. She needs a little time to adjust to her new life and of course, vet care.

We will keep you updated on her progress. In the meantime, if you would like to help, we do need donation, to help with her vet care.

Update

The owners of the Boston Terrier, posted him and gave him away 😞

But we did get the Frenchie and a foster!!!
We will post her story very soon!!!

Update on Buck 😞

BUCK (bullet pup) UPDATE:

Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who has donated and helped with Buck's case one way or another.

Unfortunately, Allen went to say good morning and start his breakfast routine and found Buck had passed on at some point in the night.

Buck waited all those weeks to be rescued. He held on to hope and Allen, his savior, came along just in time for Buck to feel safe and loved even if just for a while, to pass comfortable in a warm bed and not alone.

Life is just not fair. We all hoped for a success story and one day seeing him finally running amuk with the rest of the gang. Our hearts rest a little knowing he at least has been reunited with his mother and siblings over the rainbow Bridge. 🌈

Once again, thank you to everyone who contributed to his fundraiser. reimburses all funds not used, so if you donated, please keep an eye out for reimbursement.

Beans!!!!
This sweet boy is still on the search for his perfect furever home!!

Beans is a little over a yr old, he weighs about 30lbs, so he is a medium size dog. He loves to play, to go on walks and to snuggle on the couch.

He loves people and just wants to make his people happy.

He is potty trained and kennel trained

He does have a bit of high energy but it's in spurts and will chill and lay down to snuggle or for pets after about 15/20 mins of running around.

He is fostered with small, medium and big dogs. He gets along with them all but only plays with the big dogs because his energy can be too much when playing. He is also fostered with cats and for the most part he doesn't bother them.

He also needs to be groomed.

Beans is nuetered, vaccinated and chipped.

Gus is looking for his furever home!! This sweet, goofy boy just wants to be a good boy. He is a 1 yr old German Shephard mix and very much has puppy brain, lol

He would do best with an active family who will set boundaries for him. He is super social and likes people and is good with kids. He also does well with other dogs with the same energy level and wants to play. He does ok with cats, but he does want to herd them, and he needs to be watched.

I don't have a name. I don't even have a face yet.

I was cold, frightened, tired, and in pain. I've been on my own for what seems like a lifetime. I was begging one vehicle after another to stop to help me. All ignored me.

But how can I blame them? Look at me! I don't even look like a living thing. I'm like a discarded piece of clothing dragged by the storm and full of mud.

Until a kind lady noticed me. She didn't know at first that I was an animal. Until I moved. She carried me to her car while crying, wondering how I got to be like this. I've wondered this myself.

But today starts a new chapter in my life. The kind lady that has now fed me, assured me that the warm bed I finally got to sleep on was mine forever and that there's a wonderful village of people that are going to help me feel and look better.

--- cases like this shouldn't surprise me anymore. Yet here I am, writing this with tears in my eyes. What living being even deserves this? We don't know what her past was like or how she got to the industrial area she was in, but she was clearly giving up. She tried to bite the kind soul that picked her up and contacted us, but her bite was so weak that you couldn't even feel her holding on. Barely moving. Barely breathing.

As Mutt Hut, we will do whatever we have to do to make sure this baby gets the care she needs. We owe it to Helen and many like them to help the voiceless that endure this exact level of neglect.

But we can't do it without you. We help and work on so many cases behind the scenes, and donations are not coming in as much as invoices are. We can not start this new year in the red.

If you can spare any amount, please consider helping an innocent life like hers. Every dollar truly does count 🙏

As 2023 ends, we wanted to take a look back for just a moment at the adoption that took place for the year. We were able to find furever homes for 14 animals!!!

As a small rescue, we are incredibly grateful to beable to do this and we couldn't, without the support of our community. We want to thank everyone that has been there for us. Our board members, our fosters, our families, our adopters, other rescues and you!!!

We hope to beable to continue to grow and learn for many years to come.

This just happened!!!!

Harley has been officially adopted after being with us for two years!!!!

Pits have an incredible bad rap, and they are super hard to adopt. But after an adoption event that we went to last sat, we had sooo many inquiries about her. And we got two amazing applications.

We went to two meet and greets and honestly it was such a hard decision to make.

But!!!! We decided to go with Raul and Yessica. Congratulations!!! We are sooo excited. Harley gets a home for Christmas!!! We love you, Harley, and can't wait to see you thrive in your new home.
