Gizmo’s first week of day training always starts with markers! I don’t jump straight into behaviors like sit, down, or stay. Instead, I begin with a reward marker to create clarity so he understands exactly why he’s earning his food. Knowing what motivates your dog, whether it’s food, toys, or praise, is the key to building real communication. Our Day trains Trucy and Leya really showed up today—and it’s all thanks to the dedication of their amazing owners! This kind of progress is the result of consistent follow-through at home.
