For the past 25 years, Miss Kiss has been making young horse lovers dreams come true, but for the past 7 years she gave her heart to one little boy and taught him all she knew. She was forgiving with his mistakes, but you could see the pride in her eyes when he got it right. She didn’t like many people, but she loved Reese. Her ears always perked up when she saw him. She wasn’t an easy horse to ride, but somehow these two clicked. We are forever grateful for this horse and we will always remember her tea-cup jog, superior showmanship skills, and everlasting patience.….as well as not being able to cinch up the girth in the barn, pinning her ears every time we walked in her stall and her despise of hunter under saddle classes. Rest In Peace Miss Kiss! Thank you for being part of our family! 💕💕

This is so true! Always remember to reward your horse!

They have no idea what happened. If you got first or if you got last. They don’t even care. They aren’t sure why they feel your heart race in the show pen, or why they are in an arena in the first place and why people cheer. They don’t care. They don’t know why you’re happy or disappointed. They don’t even know they are in a contest. But after it’s over, they know your tender touch, they know the feel
of your hand as you pat them gently, they know how good it feels to get a bath and rinse off the sweat that appeared while working so hard for you. They can feel your love, long after you hang those ribbons, or review your mistakes and highlight reels. Take care of your horse, in between those runs. He will continue to give everything you ask and never ever know why, but when he feels your love he will always try.
