🤩We are one week out from our April 12-14 trial! We will have a pot luck lunch each day, so please bring something to share. (We have a fridge if you need it.)
Make sure to arrive early so you can set up and be ready for the briefing (8:30) each day. **PLEASE** plan to either come a few hours before your class starts- or stay a few hours after your class is done- and help out. These trials don’t happen without help from everyone! See you all next weekend!!

Now for the good news regarding volunteering! Secreterrier allows clubs to award Club Credits that can be used for future trials. So if you work a lot the 🧚‍♀️ Credit Fairy 🧚‍♀️may pick your name out of the hat to get some credits toward future entries!

This weekend it has become necessary for DCBH to implement the option at trials of holding a certain % of our numbers for handlers who will volunteer at the trials. We have many people who come and work all day so everyone can run their dogs but they should not have to work every blind. If everyone who entered worked 1 blind as an inside wrangler for each run you enter we would have more workers than we could ever use. However, we have spent way to much time yelling for workers this weekend so far. So you can reach out to me, as the secretary, if you commit to working 1-2 blinds as an inside wrangler (they are entry level positions we will train you AND be very grateful!) and that will give you priority entry to the trial as part of our "reserved" entry. **The January(12-14)trial will open on 11/17 at 8am. **
Note the new opening time!! We are also helping test the new barn hunt system so online entries will be slightly different.
Make sure you go to http://www.secreterrier.com (now) and create your account so that it’s already there when entries open. Use the exact email address you use to log into Barn Hunt account. Ensure your dogs are added to your account and connected to Barn Hunt as their organization. If you have any issues (do not email barn hunt!) you can submit a bug report on the page (the icon looks like a bug)🙂. Don’t freak out if an issue pops up, we will work through it! I posted a user manual for secreterrier in the comments of this post.
