Meet Maverick, one of our amazing board & train pups, working hard on mastering his place command! 🚀 He’s not only learning to stay in his designated spot but also developing the ability to remain calm while holding a down position for an extended period of time. This is an essential skill for any dog, as it builds their self-control and focus, making them more reliable in different environments, especially around distractions.

The place command is an invaluable tool in training, as it gives your dog a clear expectation of where to be and what to do. It also helps with impulse control, calming anxious behaviors, and building confidence. For Maverick, working on duration and staying in position builds his patience and focus, which will help him handle distractions more effectively in the future. By the end of his training, Maverick will be able to confidently stay in place, no matter what’s going on around him! Keep up the great work, Maverick! 💪
