Stevie is just a sweet pup, at a shelter.
A shelter is no place for a pup.

He’s believed to be a Great Pyrenees mix.
Almost 2 months old.
This sweet boy is potty pad trained, but still learning about the kennel.

He’s ready for a foster home or even a forever home.

Did you know black dogs & brown dogs are the most passed over for adoption?

Black and brown dogs tend to wait 4 times longer to get adopted from shelters and rescues.

We currently have 14 black dogs and 5 brown dogs in the system.

Please consider fostering, black dogs are the most loyal and loving as dogs of any other color.
They have a mysterious quality about them. Black fur hides dirt well, which is beneficial when you have been too busy for that dog bath or grooming session.

Foster Failure moment!🥹

Joy had been in a foster home for a few months and her foster has now made it official!

Joy, now named Mija, is enjoying her forever home and her dog sibling Rosie.

Meet Sugar!

The most sleek and gorgeous girl.

You all know maple, who just got adopted?
Well this is her sister!
She’s dog friendly and weighs 25 pounds, so she’s the perfect cuddle buddy!
Her estimated birthday is on the 15th, she’ll be a year old!🎂
She goes back and forth from a foster home, and they always have good things to say about her.
She will be at the adoption event tomorrow night at the Bakery Pub!🫣

When adopted she will be spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.

The Angel Tree is up!

Don’t know what an Angel tree is ?

This program helps provide Christmas gifts for hundreds of thousands of children around the country each year, except this one is shelter dog version.

You’re able to come anytime during open hours, choose an Angel, and bless a shelter dog.

There’s angels that help get them toys, food and even help them get adopted by donating portions of their adoption fees.

This is a great thing to do with the kids, we hope to see you!🐾

Lots of things happening this month!

We have 2 events happening next Saturday, December 9th.

First, come get your pet’s picture taken with Santa, enjoy some snacks (made by Carol Lumley-Spock), enter our raffles, and get some cute ornaments from 12-2pm at the Lytle Animal Shelter. 🎅 📸

Then, join us at The Bakery Pub in Lytle starting at 5pm for a meet and greet with a few of the shelter’s adoptable dogs! There will also be a chance to enter the raffles there too!

You can also enter the 50/50 raffle anytime by sending payment, name, and phone number through cash app or PayPal or going by the shelter. We have about a 1/3 of the squares filled!

Poppy!☺️

Poppy is a very sweet girl.
Calm but playful, and very dog friendly!

Oak is more submissive and shy but with some treats she warms up quickly.
She is a mix pup; estimated to 1 years old and weighing 39 pounds.

When adopted she’ll be Spayed, Vaccinated and Microchipped.
