Here is an updated list of babies that have been waiting for their chance for 2 or more years! Not all, but a lot of these dogs are still with us because they prefers humans over other pets, but by adopting a dog that prefers human companionship, you provide a unique and special bond. Adopting a long-stay dog is about offering a lifeline to a furry friend who, against all odds, found their way into your heart. We have had some really great long-stay adoptions lately and would love to keep that ball rolling. We know the “no-kid, no-other pet, experienced dog handler” people are a dime a dozen, but we know they exist!!! Some of these dogs are dog friendly too!

AAAR is a no-kill animal sanctuary, so all of these babies are safe with us, living the best life we can give them with the resources we have! Volunteers make a big difference in their lives. We always need more volunteers please reach out to make a difference in these dogs lives.

It’s TYSON TUESDAY and we are including Tyson in our Home for the Holidays shout outs! Tyson is a sweet senior - a 10 yr old male available in Orlando, FL - who has been with our rescue for 🚨865 DAYS🚨 !! Tyson is a love bug, a velcro dog who gives LOTS of sloppy kisses! He is calm, gentle, and very snuggly, with a loving personality. Tyson has good house manners, is potty trained & kid approved! He even has a sponsored adoption fee of $0! ​​​​​​​​

Tyson does need to be the only dog in the house but he does fine on walks when interacting with other well behaved dogs. He walks great on a leash, doesn’t pull, and is a great travel companion! Tyson enjoys car rides, boat trips, or is just as happy napping at home. Tyson is also a chaser so he is no kitties or small animals. He will even try to catch flies or ants!​​​​​​​​

Tyson is an escape artist who wants to be with his people and he does not enjoy a crate for long periods of time. He is low energy, LOVES all food & is easy to please! Tyson would be perfect company for someone living alone or a family.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
