We are a locally owned micro-farm and seedling starter company that helps people grow their own food even in small spaces. Mighty Roots grows a select variety of vegetables, herbs and flowers sourced from heirloom and certified organic seeds. We utilize tried and true horticultural principals to ensure the best quality starter plants available. All plants are grown in a special soil mix using only

natural and organically produced materials. We believe that an enormous amount of food can be grown in small spaces, using the right techniques. Our goal is to first of all provide excellent seedlings and produce to our customers, but also to maximize the amount of food we grow for our own consumption on our micro-farm.

Our Story

Might Roots Micro-farm is a locally owned urban farm in Wisconsin with a mission to educate people about growing their own food in small spaces. Mighty Roots grows a select variety of vegetables, herbs and flowers sourced from heirloom and certified organic seeds. We utilize tried and true horticultural principles to ensure the highest quality and highest yields possible within a given environment. All plants are grown in a special soil mix using only natural and organically produced materials. We know that an enormous amount of food can be grown in small spaces, using the right techniques. We do research on our plots and report our findings via blogs, videos, social media, live events and private consultation services. Our goal is to inform the public about micro-farming methods and provide consultation services to help people and businesses set up in their own micro-farms.
