You may wonder why we pull back into the syringe when giving injections in the vein. This picture explains why. We don't pull back to make sure we're in the vessel, we do it to make sure we're in the RIGHT vessel. Today I went to give an injection and pulled back and saw blood brighter than I wanted. I decided to go and get a new dose of sedation and once again pulled back and then gave my dose of sedation. The syringe on the left was my first injection and the syringe on the right was my second injection. Does anyone know why I shouldn't have injected that first syringe? And had I injected that first injection, what would have happened?

Chester is our dude! It’s been a fun 7 years of having this guy in our lives.
7 years ago Sara and I went to a track in Ohio to see this guy… ears pinned and not liking the track life at all…brought him home and from the moment he unloaded from the trailer, we all knew he was home. Over the years Chester has gone on long trail rides, evented, competed in hunters and been a great husband horse and an awesome jumper for Sara and my self. While Chester is no Apple-juice , he is special to all of us

Roundelay had his first ride undersaddle today. It only lasted a couple
Minutes as we where both baking in the extra hot weather. But, I couldn’t of been more pleased with his progress .. 6 months to the day that he had kissing spine surgery.. total of 9 processes shaved . Look in the comments for the video of him a few months before surgery.
