Congratulations to our Windamawr Hunter Jumper Team - so many ribbons at this past weekend's Red Pines Carriage House H/J Season opener including:
- Champion Jess & Elvis in the .75s with a 1st, 4th and 5th
- Reserved Champion Olga & Lady in the X-rail Equitation with a 1st, 3rd and 4th
- Finley & Honey won their Hunter Derby
- Neda & Lady brought home 2 blues from the jumper ring
- Ainsley & Afton won their Medal class. 3rd in the Derby and 6th in their equitation
Congratulations to you all! Well done!

So proud of the Wolf/Windamawr hunter/jumper team - they brought home a wall of ribbons from HITS Lamplight Equifest week 1 and 3! Including some big ribbons...

Ali and Theo took home Champion of the 1.10m
Rachel and Chops landed Champion of the 1.0m, and moved up to the 1.10s.
Jenny and Gangster were Champion of the .90s and moved up to the 1.0s.
Ali and Lady brought home Reserved Champion of the .90s
Ali and Primo were Reserved Champion of the Low Child Hunters
Ann and Elvis brought home a ton of 3' Adult Hunter ribbons
And finally, Elvis and Rachel landed 10th in the National Hunter Derby!

Way to go team Windamawr!

ISO Working Student/ Traveling Show Groom to join our amazing barn family!

Windamawr Stables (located just west of Minneapolis, MN, in beautiful Maple Plain) is looking for a full-time working student/Groom. Windamawr is a Hunter/Jumper/Dressage Equestrian Center that offers Boarding, Training, and Showing with an amazing group of clients.

Hunter/Jumper show experience is ideal, but general horse care and grooming/tacking is a must. Jumping experience is a bonus.

On any given day you will help with tacking up/untacking the horses in training. Traveling to local and away shows as our head groom. Sometimes doing Turn in/out, feeding, assisting the farrier/vet/therapy appointments, tack cleaning and maintenance, and some general chores, depending on the week. Doing night check a few nights a week at Windamawr and the potential opportunity (depending on experience level) for schooling horses, schooling at the shows and even showing our sale and client horses.

Compensation includes housing, two lessons per week, a weekly stipend, and pay for all horse show groom activities. Based on your experience, you may also have the opportunity to make extra money in grooming services such as body clipping, etc.

We will also offer you an education in barn management, basic veterinary care, and holistic horse care, as well as the opportunity to ride a lot of really nice show ponies!
