Today was a monumental day for the books. Heatwole Excavating out of Dalton came through for us. We finally got all the ducks in a row, and carved out the finish grade for Sidney's almost 300' x 130', outdoor arena.
This should really be a nice addition for hosting 4-H events, clinics or just practicing.
Between now and spring, hope to get busy creating the outdoor obstacle/confidence course next to it and the seating and observation/filming platforms built.
Doing the midnight ride to get the horse ready for later today's competition. These classes are huge, many with well over a hundred competitors and scores are crazy high.
Triple judges... perfect score is 210... I've heard them in the 230's and 240's I think.
Update: this afternoon, (Sunday) Sidney got a 70-1/2.
This mornings ride, (here is last few moments), Sidney got a 69-1/2 on Bo, Warnimont Performance Horses from Findlay Ohio, Sidney's bosses horse.
We're calling this a warm up for Quarter Horse Congress, just around the corner.
For referrence, 70, is a perfect ride, now to work on getting the pluses to get up into the 72-74 range.

One trophy won on Monday.
Getting a neck adjustment from a dear friend.
Sidney had two nice first place wins today, (Update:) she now has 3 First place wins at the Ohio State Fair. (Update #2, she also won Grand Champion this afternoon)
This video is of a free style trail course. She decided to step up the game a bit with a reining spin that scared the pajesus out of The, but he recovered quickly and went on to win that class and one other.
So trying to remind Sky she used to play on stuff like this before her early retirement.
This is our second day, second rendition of obstacles in Sidney's arena. We are preparing for Friday, April 14th Equine Affair Versatile Horse competition.
Stop in and watch if you're in the area.
Gotta try out her new Bob's saddle.
Proud papa moment...
Sidney just won, #1 in the Nation.
