When you support MCPAWS today for #GivingTuesday , you help us provide exceptional care for the homeless cats and dogs in our region. Dogs like Willa.
Willa was living on the streets and at the Recycle Center in Council, Idaho. Winter was coming and no one could catch her. Finally, at the end of October, concerned citizens were able to coax Willa into a trap. She was trapped and brought to MCPAWS on October 30th. No one could get near her. She was terrified.
Our Shelter Manager Ashley Colglazier spent weeks sitting with Willa, reading to her. It took time, but soon Willa began to trust and show signs of hope. We hope you enjoy her video!
Did you adopt a pet from MCPAWS? Share your love story and we will become eligible for a $100,000 grant thanks to support from our friends at BOBS® from Skechers®! Share your love story here: https://petcolove.org/adopt/love-stories/
The Petco Love Stories campaign is a celebration of the unique love adopted pets share with us and the profound ways their love changes our lives. By sharing these heartfelt stories, pet parents can not only highlight the joy and companionship their adopted pets bring, but also support their local animal welfare organizations like MCPAWS! Earlier this year, Petco Love and BOBS® from Skechers® awarded over $500,000 to animal welfare partners across the country in celebration of the 2023-2024 Petco Love Stories winners.

When Appa came to MCPAWS as a stray, he couldn't walk. At first, our veterinarians thought he had possibly been hit by a car. It turned out he was severely dehydrated, his kidneys and stomach were inflamed, and his spinal cord was swollen. He could not use his back legs.
After a lot of treatment and care at the MCPAWS Veterinary Hospital, he is now up on his feet and happily playing in the cat playroom! He is also now available for adoption! He will need an indoor-only home.
Check out his video and support us today, for the last day of Idaho Gives. https://www.idahogives.org/organizations/mcpaws-regional-animal-shelter
