We've noticed some new faces around here so we thought we would reintroduce ourselves!
Harp & Olive Market Garden is a small scale urban farm utilizing organic and sustainable practices. The farm is run by Frank, Kayla, our daughters Grace and Adeline, and our two dogs Harper and Olive. We have a passion for providing truly local food to our community in Mequon, Wisconsin and the surrounding area.
Our primary focus is the health of the soil on which we grow, which we believe to be the foundation for our farm. We achieve this by utilizing reduced tillage practices, keeping the soil covered, and through the use of high quality organic inputs like compost. Over time our soil has improved to support a wide variety of life beneath our plants.
In addition to our soil building practices we promote biodiversity at Harp & Olive Market Garden. Native flowers are planted on the property to attract beneficial insects and wildlife. We believe a healthy and diverse ecosystem is critical to pest management and the quality of our produce. We try to farm in sync with nature and not against it.
We hope to get the opportunity to share some of our delicious food with you this 2024 growing season!
