What an awesome day, I have not had a lot of luck since changing areas. My wife joked with me last night when I came home for a shower, ibuprofen!, and propane refill, that if I was a better hunter I would be done already. I said it's kinda crazy that I have not even come to full draw yet this year. Not for lack of seeing animals though. Told her it's kinda hard it all comes down to a few seconds after a lot of hard work and preparation, meet with great timing and a little luck. Leave early this morning to head back up to hunt where I have seen a few bucks hanging and at the last second decide to swing in a canyon I had seen a lot of elk sign in. Get in thick trees let out a couple of soft cow mews and here comes my biggest archery bull on a string. 35 yards and only went another 30 after the hit. Loving these new sevr broadheads.
Per my standard bad luck he was 6 on one side and my typical 4 on the other, I always find these bulls lol. After hours of hard work he is home cooling in the cooler and I'm questioning my sanity till the pain passes and I forget and start dreaming of next year.
