Living in northern Michigan comes with many perks, but unfortunately it also comes with drawbacks. Especially when it comes to emergency care of our loved ones and specifically our pets. We understand the immense need for emergency care in our area. Emergencies happen and driving a hour and a half is daunting.
The lack of veterinary professionals in our area makes this virtually impossible, as it’s unreasonable to expect the few of us around here to be available 24/7, 365.
Just because we aren’t available DOES NOT mean we don’t care. We actually care very much and wish it was feasible to help each and every pet in need, however it’s not. We try very hard to make ourselves available for advice when we can.
With this being said, Fetch the Vet does not offer emergency care. We try our best to be available for our communities the best we can. Receiving hateful, berating, and just plain rude messages all hours of the night/weekends will not be tolerated. Please keep this in mind - we will not make ourselves available to “help” when we are disrespected. You will be blocked and we will not offer any services to you in the future.

Our hours of operation are Mondays, Thursdays, and Friday’s. Offering some virtual care to those already established (a current physical exam on file) - and as always, via text/messenger when advice is needed.

If you need to schedule an appointment, please reach out directly, or schedule through our online scheduler (Digitail - the link is at the top of our page) - there is a “glitch” through messenger, which allows you to REQUEST a time when you click on “quote” - this is NOT an affiliated scheduler with our clinic and these are NOT considered scheduled appointments.

As always, we love our clients and patients. We are very grateful for the continued support and overwhelming reviews. Thank you.

We hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th of July. We will be returning to our normal schedule tomorrow after a much needed week off. Thank you to everyone who reached out - I have worked my way through messages and voicemails and believe I have everyone taken care of? If you reached out and I somehow missed your message or call, please don’t hesitate to reach back out (and I’m sorry!). We still have a few opening this week.

We are available and on the road on Monday, Thursday, and Fridays.

Hello. We hope everyone is doing good!
We wanted to let everyone know that we will be closed (off the road) starting June 25th through July 7th and will be returning with our normal schedule on the 8th of July.
We do have a few opening available throughout the next week. If you need anything, please don't hesitate to reach out and we will try to squeeze you in.
Again, we can't thank you enough for your continued support and loyalty. We have built up the best clientele and patients. July marks our 2-year anniversary and we wouldn't be where we are if it wasn't for all of you!!!!

Good afternoon! We hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather.
Just wanted to jump on here to revisit our hours, as we have been getting some pretty brash messages lately.
We, unfortunately, don’t offer emergency services. I know this is a service greatly needed in our area(s) however, we are on the road Monday, Thursday, and Friday for scheduled appointments only.
We do our best, when able, and depending on our location, so squeeze emergencies in.

Good evening! Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying your spring break 😊
Just wanted to let everyone know we will be off the road starting Friday the 29th of March through Monday the 8th of April while we enjoy some much needed down time (and company from out of state).
I, Missy, will do my best to answer any and all questions and try to be as available as possible to set up new and existing clinet appointments.

I want to personally thank our wonderful clients for your flexibility over this past week. As some of you know, I’ve been in and out of urgent care/ER with some sort of nasty virus. We are so blessed to have a clientele that is so understanding and open/adaptable to last minute changes.
If you have tried to reach us, and I have somehow missed your call/message, please don’t hesitate to reach out again. Navigating this past week has been a difficult one. Good news is I’m feeling so much better today and ready to hit the road full speed ahead with Dr Burkett on Monday. 😊 - thanks again! Missy ❤️
