Dogwood Kennel is located in Merritt, Michigan. We have 600 acres of licensed shooting preserve land and we are located near thousands of acres of state and federal land to train your dog on. We have liberated and wild birds available to train your dog on all year. We train by week or month. Complete training, obedience, and field work. We train in a completely non-intimidating way without heavy h

anded methods. Our goal is to work with the dog and handler to create the bond necessary for a complete hunting dog and companion.

The 65-year-old man fell into Arbutus Lake in East Bay Township. A motor carrier officer, and the man's dog, Ruby, worked together to pull the man to safety, according to Michigan State Police.

Well, it's been a trying week. Our Mabel started whelping Sunday the 17th around 12:30pm. We got home at 1am Monday after rushing her to Traverse for an emergency c-section. We almost lost her. She had zero blood pressure & needed a blood transfusion. Then we had to hand feed pups for 2 days. Things are going more smoothly now. She had 9 pups. 7 female & 2 males. 5 liver & 4 orange. Won't know how many are roan for a couple weeks. We have 1 male & 3 female available.

Real windy today. Found some birds. A 40acre piece of BLM land saw 20 plus birds. Sharptail & pheasant.
