As we are closing today for the final time I want to thank all the pet owners that have entrusted me with the care of their pets. I have spent 49 years trying to live up to that trust. I have wanted to be a Veterinarian for as long as I can remember, and I have never regretted my choice of a profession. I am sad to be leaving but it is time for me to retire. I will very much miss seeing you and your pets. Thank you all for your well wishes for my retirement. We had a lot of clients stop to say goodbye and wish us all well (myself and my staff). I have been very fortunate to have a great staff over the past 48+ years. I will very much miss seeing them on a day-to-day basis.

I have personally visited East Mill Animal Hospital 978-933-9339 and I recommend them as well. It is a smaller Animal Hospital still looking for growth in their clientele. They seemed very similar to Pleasant Valley Animal Hospital in terms of the way they practice Veterinary medicine. I think our clients would find the experience to be similar to Pleasant Valley Animal Hospital. They are located in North Andover and are less than 3 miles from our location.

At Pleasant Valley Animal Hospital, we have prided ourselves on providing you and your pet with compassionate, high-quality veterinary care over the years. We are immensely grateful for our community, our clients, and their four-legged family members. Unfortunately, we were unable to secure another veterinarian to continue the legacy of compassionate care for animals in the Methuen community. As a result, after years of service, we will be closing our doors. Dr. Marcoux has been a figure of compassion for our patients and has dedicated his career to the well-being of your pets. Dr. Marcoux expresses his gratitude for the trust and support of the community and is proud to have been your family's veterinarian for nearly 50 years.

Dean wanted to remind everyone to keep your pets safe this holiday season by leaving holiday plants and tinsel off your Christmas trees and decorations. Mistletoe, holly, and lilies are toxic to our pets and tinsel may tempt your feline friend to climb onto the tree.

It is with heavy hearts that we learned the passing of our beloved Dr. Abdinoor. He spent many years serving the patients of PVAH as our traveling surgeon. He was a very special man with a heart of gold and a dear friend to our staff. His love of animals was no secret to those who were lucky enough to know him. He will be missed tremendously. ❤️
