The four years after my husband disappeared were incredibly hard for me and our two kids. Over time, we adjusted to life without him, even though we still think about him a lot.

Then, one day out of nowhere, something crazy happened. I was lying on a blanket in our backyard when my husband's dog (whom I haven't seen for four years because he disappeared with my husband) ran into our yard — with my husband's jacket in its mouth. The very same jacket he'd worn on that hike!

I tried to get closer to the dog, but it took off running. I followed, running for about 20 minutes until we ended up in the woods not far from our neighborhood.

When Mr. Hutchins turned 90, a peculiar thought struck him: he had no heir... Determined to find someone deserving, he came up with an unconventional plan. Disguised as a homeless man, he shuffled into a his grocery store, hoping to see who would treat him with kindness.

"Get out of here, old man!" barked the cashier, Lincy, with a glare. "We don't serve people like you!"

Before he could explain further, a saleswoman marched over with an icy tone. "You need to leave. Now. Our customers are complaining, and we won't tolerate it."

As he turned to leave, his heart heavy, he couldn't help but think, "What a store full of cold-hearted people." But just as he reached the door, a voice rang out, sharp and commanding.

"EVERYONE, step away from the old man!"

OUR DOG WOULDN'T STOP BARKING AT THE THANKSGIVING TURKEY – WHEN I FINALLY CHECKED IT, I CALLED THE POLICE

Thanksgiving morning was chaos. Kyle had offered to pick up the turkey while I juggled side dishes and desserts. "I'll be back soon!" he said cheerfully as he headed out.

He returned an hour later, turkey in hand but looking frazzled. "Took longer than I thought. Had to hit three places and help Mom with something. Everything's fine," he assured me, then sighed as his phone buzzed. "Great. Mom's car broke down. Gotta go help her." Before I could respond, he was out the door again. The whole thing was VERY weird — Kyle was never this distracted.

Then Max, our dog, started barking. Not his usual Thanksgiving excitement hoping for scraps to hit the floor — this was sharp and insistent. He fixated on the turkey, pacing and jumping at the counter.

"Max, stop it!" I scolded, but he didn't. After twenty minutes, I gave in. "Fine, let's see what's so interesting."

My fiancé, Robert and I froze, staring at my German Shepherd, Bo, who had just walked into the room, wagging his tail as if nothing had happened.
