It is with a heavy heart I have to let everyone know Mickey has went to the rainbow bridge. He was 12 and helped train so many of our foster pups to be cat friendly. He was the best boy. He will be SO missed. Give all your babies a big kiss and hug.

We know a lot about amputation and leg surgeries and how expensive they can get. Any help is appreciated. We will be networking and helping dogs in both Miami and the St Louis area now due to our primary foster/board member moving to Illinois.

Cooper lives to please you and to have your affection. He’s 8 years old, 26 lbs, never has accidents, he’s super sweet and fun and loves to snuggle. He lives with both a dog and cat; so even if he needs to get accustomed to a new pet, he should do fine with that. He loves to play tug-of-war, and outside he gets the zoomies and runs back and forth, whenever he has the chance!

He’s neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date with all of his shots. He does tend to be a little anxious, so he barks when he sees people outside. He’s also allergic to saliva from fleas; so his monthly flea treatment needs to be one that REPELS fleas, not one that merely kills fleas after they have bitten him. We switched him to Frontline recently at the vet’s advice because he was chewing on himself relentlessly, poor boy. The vet also prescribed a mild sedative for him, which has really helped with his anxiety. I also think a fenced back yard or long walks would really help with that.

The biggest thing about Cooper is what a sweetheart he is and how much he will really want to please you. If you’re looking for a loyal friend who loves to snuggle, Cooper is the one!

Amelia was found Jan 14, 2022 at 5pm at Amelia Earhart Park. She had minor scratches but was pretty scared and thin. We took her to our local vet Palmetto Animal Clinic and the vet gave her a clean bill of health. Per the vet she is 2-3 years old and is a lab/terrier. Amelia seem very well kept prior. We spent two months trying to find her home and to no avail. She has clean teeth and short nails when we found her. Right now Amelia is weighing about 50 lbs. Whom ever had her before had her potty trained and crate trained. She will not go inside not even if the house is covered in pads. She will approach you and kind of talk when she wants to go out. I have a child with autism and she knows she's not allowed in the room but she will sit outside the door and watch him. She is trainable and very smart. She requires lots of love and affection. Per the vet she's not spayed. We would keep her but due to my sons therapy schedule and summer schedules we cannot give her the time and attention she needs and truly deserves. We live on a pretty desolate street so not too much interaction with other animals. Not super sure how she will react to other animals. My son spent almost a month in and out of Joe Dimaggio Childrens Hospital so I haven't been able to really take her out to a dog park and see how she interacts with other dogs. But so far she seems as if she was loved a lot prior too.

Took a walk tonight and stopped at to pick out birthday presents for Krypto. Sadly Sayge can only walk a few blocks and then has to ride with Mayce. Thankfully it’s a big stroller. ❤️🐾 Mayce is doing good with learning to not bark at every person she sees. A lot of fear. Not sure what happened to her the first 9 weeks of her life.

Hi! I am Cooper! I am 7 years young. A 50 lb lab/beagle/etc mix needing a new home. Due for 2022 shots but current owner will pay for them, spayed. No kids or dogs. Worked with a trainer and no luck getting her to adapt. So she needs a no small kids and no other pets home to snuggle and be loved on. Great girl, loves to snuggle. Mayce is 18.5 weeks old and doing great! At her 16 week shots appt she was only 21 lbs. She is a tiny girl but gaining more and more muscle strength daily. She can even use her legs to scratch her ears now!! She had her first outing to Pinecrest Gardens awhile back and enjoyed seeing other dogs and people. She has learned her voice and will bark now to say hi. 🙂

Photo shoot while at the vet. 16 week check up and shots. 21 lbs (averaging around 10 lbs underweight from average female shepherd) Vet was happy with her muscle development and that she can “run” when trying to keep something from me. She is learning manners and basic commands pretty well. ”drop it, leave it, sit, take nice, etc”.. she loves to play fetch and it helps improve muscles. Snuggles with Sayge and playtime is also top on her list. She is fully crate trained and potty training comes and goes. She is a water ju**ie so we have to limit her water intake bc she will drink herself to death. Literally.

Mayce is learning from the best big sisters ever!! She has learned to play fetch and it’s helpful in getting her to use the back legs and strengthen them daily! She has also started to ring the bell to go potty outside!!!

Meet Our newest foster.

UPDATE: One Ortho wanted to do a bilateral FHO on a 9 week old. Other ortho wants to wait 6-8 months and see how she develops and then make a choice. Vets and I agreed second option was the way to go. So we will see how she grows and develops and work on strengthening the back muscles.

She had a check up at the vet this morning and got her DHPP, microchip and dewormer. Clean bill of health. Tiny hernia which will be fixed when she is spayed later on. Sent all X-rays and a video of her walking to the ortho for consult. Don’t see hip sockets. Looks like bad breeding and genetic condition. (back yard breeder strikes again) She is happy and healthy otherwise and in no pain. Already crate trained too!! Such a smart girl ❤️🐾❤️
