March Meet the Maker
Day #1: Brand Origin

Ram’s Head was born in 2013 when Mike, a few years out of college with a yet unused Bachelors degree and a teaching certificate that had yet to be tested in a classroom was working another in a long line of doubles as a line cook at a restaurant. Sitting out on the restaurant’s patio in the middle of a four hour break (not long enough to justify going home or accomplish anything meaningful , but too long to avoid ruminating on the existential nightmare that is working in the restaurant industry.) In a desperate bid to find meaning and hope in the face of an impending closing shift, he decided to start working towards a life as a potter. Nearly a decade later Ram’s Head has become a successful small business with a permanent booth at the Michigan Renaissance festival and frequent appearances at many shows across Michigan .

This lovely gentleman came in yesterday and purchased the faces and antler sets. He stayed up until 2 am finishing his creation before coming back in today to show off the final product!! Thanks for sharing! We love to see what you create.

Hello! I’m with Works of Art Taxidermy. We were selling at the Michigan Nordic Fire Festival 2023 and someone stole one of our hides. It is a blonde colored Buffalo hide. Much lighter than a normal Buffalo. Half hide.
