This is my wife Virginia, she is very sick. We live in Spokane, but it doesn't have a doctor that can treat her here, so we have to go find one. Please, if you can help with a donation and sharing this link, we would really appreciate it.

Virginia Patton has been diagnosed with a terrifying illness called gastroparesis. Funds raised will offset her overwhelming medical expenses and get her much-needed treatment beyond Spokane.

Hello, I am currently on medical leave until further notice. I hope everyone can find a good groomer to take care of your dogs until I can begin working again. I miss you all!

Do you know someone with Scottish Terriers or West Highland Terriers? I absolutely love grooming these two breeds. I had quite a few in my Lewis/Clark shop and miss working on them (Especially when I get to do an AKC clip)

Please Share this and help me spread the word so I can add more of these fabulous terriers into my clientele.

Good morning to all! Here is a little update for everyone...

I AM back to work in Spokane!!

Due to my health, I had to end my time in Lewiston after 15 years. So to everyone that I had to say goodbye to- Lewiston and my Spokane large breeds, *Thank you so much for your many years of loyalty! I appreciate you & will miss you.

I have been diagnosed with Gastroparesis (GP). It is a condition where the stomach, and in my case, my colon too, have paralysis. I am learning how to adjust my lifestyle & eating habits to work more efficiently for my condition. It has been a rough road... but I would have to say I am dealing with it fairly well. (feel free to ask me questions- I love to educate & spread awareness)

I am very excited to begin increasing my client list in Spokane. At this time, I am able to groom small dogs and have 2 extra weeks per month on my schedule to fill now.

In addition to the small dogs I am still offering nails, glands and baths on slick coated dogs in the larger breeds such as; Staffordshire, Vizla & Dobermans. (Sorry, but do to my GP & shoulder I can no longer do the more time consuming clips.)

I'm ready to get my scissors flying & I'm looking forward to seeing more new faces!

Well, I am back down sick again. My doctors are trying very hard to find out what is wrong with me. I have more tests to go through and hopefully some answers will appear. I am so sorry for the lengthy leave of absence. ~Virginia

Health update. Hello everybody!! I am slowly on the mend. I am hoping to be returning to work in Spokane on Monday April 1. I tire easily but am able to do small amounts at a time. I won't be able to do large dogs at this point due to the amount of energy that it takes to complete a job. I will be heading back to Lewiston to work on the 4th and 5th. I have a lot of people wanting to get in and I wish that I could accomadate everyone at once. However, there are approximately 70 dogs that I am backed up on. I will do my absolute best to handle it in the best order that I can. Large breeds are at the end of my list so if you can get in with another groomer until I am back to running at 100% I would appreciate it. Sorry for the inconvience - but at least I am moving around again. Hope to see you all again soon. Have a great Easter!! ~Virginia

Attention Spokane Clients... PLEASE PARDON THE MESS!
I am in the process of moving my shop from Sprague Ave to my house in Millwood. The transition has begun, and I am expecting to be fully functional by next week.

I really appreciate your patience as I do the switch. I am going to be unable to groom for about a week. I will be doing some heavy days to get caught up and get everyone back on track as soon as possible. I'll post pictures soon. Have a fabulous week!

There is a way to avoid the outcome of this photo...

Even if you like your dog to keep a warmer winter coat on for the season, your furry friend will still bennefit from a good Brush and Bath. The cost is less than a full groom and keeps them looking, smelling and feeling GREAT! (Includes brushing, bath, glands, ears, nail trim and a tidy-up to the face and feet)

Keeping on schedule with regular grooming will assure that your pet will not get matted which results in a shave-down.

Merry Christmas!

The Bedlington Terrier - An eye catcher everytime you stroll down the street. The most defining feature of this dog is the unique clip that they sport. The pattern of the clip serves a purpose though. Originally bred to draw badgers from their hole, extra hair was left on the bridge of the nose, top of the head, and stomach to protect the eyes, head, spine and undercarriage.

This is a great choice for anyone who suffers from dog allergies. They are catagorized as Hypo-Allergenic, and shedding is almost non-existence.

Bedlingtons make a great family pet as they are eager to please. They are good with kids and make descent watchdogs. An excellent choice if you are interested in hunting small game or canine water sports.

DID YOU KNOW?....

The Dwarf Spaniel was brought to fame in Spain and Italy in the 16th century? Originally a small dog with large DROOPING ears and owned by nobles and royalty. As the breed became exceedingly popular, a line with erect ears came on the scene. The fringe that now dangled and framed the dogs face brought to mind the wings of butterfly. The breed adopted the name Papillon, meaning "Butterfly" in French. This loving, happy, and hardy dogs can be found with the well known upright ears, as well as the drop ear variety that is better known now as the Phalene.
